Sorry to hear how the market has affected you. I know that really sucks. My Mom has a vacation house in Cape Coral. I tried to convince her to sell it back in 2006-7 when she had agents begging her to put it up for $450K. She declined, and now she'd be lucky to get $230 for it, which is not much more than what my folks bought it for back ~1990.

Thanks for the input. I've litigated residential evictions, so I'm not too worried about that. I'll get them out (though they could destroy my house in the process).

Sorry to hear about your parents. That's what happened to us, except we bought in 2006 and now, not even 5 years later, it's lost more than 1/2 it's value. To think we could've sold it for a slight profit in early 2008. We're real estate dummies, though, so we didn't.

After almost 3 weeks of work straight and 12 hour shifts, I got cut back today

It was much needed and now I'm enjoying some Plum wine

crappy weather in WI = a sh!t ton of people calling in today.

they shut the phones off b/c we don't have the staff to handle the volume of calls that would be coming in.

they gave us the option of working through our lunch and we can leave 35 min. early today.

Well that's good then. I only asked because my sister quit a job on a spur of the moment decsion once without another job lined up. She spent three months unemployed and pretty broke, so on a brighter note i hope you enjoy your week off and your new job.

Always difficult, I dont see why you would leave a place without having something else lined up!

She just hated the job and didn't feel like working there anymore. Believe me i know how dumb it was and i'm pretty sure she does now also.
