Moving out day. I moved a few things to my place on Friday and should have the rest of my stuff over there later today. I came home and loaded up the car. Now I should only have to load up my ex-MiL’s vehicle with my tv, framed art and the rest of my clothes.

I wish you luck with it. Just keep pushing through it and it will be settled soon.

On another issue, isn't it odd how many clothes we all seem to have now? I have my uncle's chifforobe. Once upon a time, it contained his entire wardrobe. There were a few t-shirts ("undershirts"), three hanging shirts ("button-downs"), a pair of dress pants ("fancy pants"), a couple of pairs of regular slacks ("workin' pants"), seven pairs of underwear with seven pairs of socks and his dress uniform (from WWII). The man did his laundry on an actual washboard, like they taught him, and he did it that way until he died.

I don't even own a washboard. Thank God for that.

Well it looks like the Wife is pushing me to take the weekend job I was offered last week. I've been on the fence about it since I wasn't sure if I wanted to switch up my days off, but 4 days off a week is very enticing and literally pennies lost in pay.

Thinking about buying the Black Friday PS4 bundle just for the hell of it. I don't exactly need or want a PS4 but the deal feels too good to pass up. I'd probably throw it in the closet for a while until I was sure I wanted it.

"Sorry if my hair looks weird this morning I had a job interview and I left my brush at my grandma's house, so I was literally brushing my hair with a fork. I was in the mirror and I was like oh yeah that looks pretty nice wow! Ooooh shit!, I've never had a custom made pen before."

Any of you guys frequent the North American Blu-ray threads? Who is that mysterious Akijama guy who starts threads but never actually posts anything? I don't like mysteries

thinking about this thing i got in the mail, from work.

apparently we can order things and have a small payment taken out of each paycheck until it's paid for. and it's for things like gaming consoles, laptops (even macbooks), tablets, tvs, vacation packages, phones, etc.

SERIOUSLY thinking about getting a new tv and using this site to get it.

Tinnitus. I've had it for years and recently it's been a lot worse after being exposed to 130db+ sirens for at least five minutes from only like 15 feet away. The ringing used to be very low volume and only really noticeable in say a quiet library or while trying to fall asleep in a pretty quiet room. But the last couple of weeks it's been loud enough to where I can hear it even in places with ambient/background noise and it's really annoying.

I didn’t think about doing that. I will try that the next time.

Same. Considering that this subscription is free, I didn’t have much to complain. It looks like a lot of magazine subscriptions are going digital.

What’s funny mirabeau is, I don’t have that many clothes. We purged a bunch of clothes before our move to Texas. I only have a couple of jeans in my current size. The rest are too big and most likely will get donated somewhere. The rest are mostly t-shirts and a few khaki pants and polos for work. I’ll definitely need to upgrade a bit once I have my month to month worked out. I’m glad your move went well Captain Flint. What and we’re did you move to? All in all, the move went well. Although a bit longer than I anticipated.

I don’t have too much that needs to be taken out of boxes. Here’s some pics. I’m borrowing the mattress from my son’s spare bed for the moment. I had to put the Xbox away (because I can’t get internet here apparently) and moved old Willie to the left of the flatscreen in its place. I need to get my lithographs on the wall next. Then when I can I’ll look into furniture. I found a nice hide a bed couch, but it was basically a check. Anyway, all is well for the most part. Still adjusting, but like the silence.

I'm constantly amazed at the crappy schedule my job manages to come up with. They'll schedule me for 1 to 10 and then have me take my lunch at 3:00 because they won't schedule a second person after 4:00. Why the heck would I take my lunch break on a nine hour shift after being there for two hours? Then they're surprised when everyone ends up taking lunch at a time that works for them. The inconsistent scheduling is bad enough, then they go and pull this all of the time. Bottom of the barrel job, I need to find something better.

I worked at Lowes during a seasonal position and it was the same story there. It seems to be a retail thing, all the more reason to get out of it.

I've talked about being a bit addicted to buying and collecting certain apparel (sweatshirts, track jackets, etc). I'm so glad I'm not addicted to collecting other things like watches or hats or sneakers (casual). I have a sweatshirt coming from Le Coq at some point and now I'm thinking about picking up a Nike one since Tennis Warehouse is having a sale.

Also, I think I might get something to eat before I go home at this taqueria but I'm not sure yet.

That is a very nice studio apartment. Good job on that. I'm glad you got it done and feel good about it. That's pretty much the best case scenario for these kinds of things.

I know a guy who still drives down to Mexico for tacos. According to him, there is no such thing as authentic Mexican food in America. He lives in SoCal, clearly. When I am there, I find the food better than where I spend the rest of the year, but, it all pales in comparison to a home cooked meal made by a buddy's Abuela, who actually liked to be called Abuela by everyone, back when I was young. She ground her own corn and made corn tortillas the old fashioned way. I don't even like corn and I loved everything she made, corn and all.

I just told my wife I was going to my ex's for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and she just said ok. A little worried about why she would be okay with that....hmmm
