I've spent the last two weeks playing host to a bunch of visiting family members from overseas. As much as I love them, I can't wait to get rid of 'em and get back to some semblance of normalcy. Not everything has gone well and I've spent a small fortune shuttling everybody between other relative's homes via public transportation (and Christmas gifts for people I normally don't buy for). I hate the holidays and everything is compounded in these situations so I'm hoping there won't be any more "merry" visits like this in the future.

I've spent the last week going back and forth between playing Days Gone and watching Batman TAS. One hour of games and one hour of cartoons. It's been a lot of fun. The other day I almost spent my entire day playing Days Gone.

When people on YouTube talk about a port of an older game and they say “I never finished X game on Y console, so looking forward to actually beating it on Z console”

Why not just finish it in the original console instead of buying it again (to presumably also never finish it)

I'm the same way. Like with FF VII, I've wanted to play it since I was like 5 years old but I'm waiting for the remake in March.

Because some get rid of things. So they might not have it anymore. I have'd rebought some titles even though I still never finished them since I collect them.

The PS1 game is like $10 on the PS store, and it’s the full game. The remake will be $60 and it’s only the first city.

Same, I don’t get rid of my games. If I want to replay an older game, I just hook up the older console.

Yeah I saw that earlier in the week but the graphics look dreadful. Maybe if I were nostalgic for it in any way but I'd rather for the remake/remakes/whatever the case may be.

Today I learned that it takes the same amount of force to chew through your finger as it does a carrot. You’d think with the bone being there, you’d need more force, but apparently not.

Does Amazon just resell returns by passing them off as new items? I bought Mad Max Fury Road on 4K and I suspect this might be the case. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. The dead giveaway is the plastic wrapping they use is always the thin variety, as if it was repackaged. Another thing that makes me suspect this is that these items always come with the plastic Blu-ray casing with one of the sides slightly shaved off, as if someone took it and slid it across a hard surface.

Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

I've noticed signs that would suggest they repackage returns, but I've also seen videos on YouTube of people buying "Amazon returns" and they say they get them at auctions, claiming all returns go to a liquidation center.

To work some over time this week or not, hmm...maybe a half day on Monday? Hmmmmmm...extra $$ is good but so is being able to sleep in. Plus who knows what the kid's plans are, she tends to give the Mrs a hard time getting ready for school if im not around

Just started watching the first football game a little while ago and it's getting pretty good. I don't know how good the quality of play is or has been but the score is close and as I type this, the Texans just scored to go up 17-16 (before extra point). I do hope they go for two as the commentator suggested and I hope the Bills tie it with a field goal and I hope it goes into overtime.

And the 2-point conversion is good!
