How come the Harlem Globetrotters are called the Harlem Globetrotters, if they aren’t from Harlem? Why aren’t they called the Chicago Globetrotters, they are from Chicago after all.

"In late 1926, Abe Saperstein took over as coach of a touring African-American team in Chicago called the Savoy Big Five (they played their games at the Savoy Ballroom). Saperstein renamed them the Harlem Globetrotters because all the players were African-American (Harlem being a predominantly African-American neighborhood)."

Has something changed with DHL in Europe? Years ago, if Amazon shipped your order by DHL you'd be lucky if it ever arrived.

Wondering if I need a new digital camera. I'd say hell yeah but that would mean I have to do some research and while I love reading stuff on the internet, I'm not that into researching new products I'm considering buying.

IIRC, DHL was on the verge of bankruptcy a few years ago so they merged (or were purchased) by a German carrier and are now a predominantly International carrier. Apparently they've improved service but they're no longer "one of the big guys" in the US like UPS or FedEx.

If by "camera" you mean to take still photos, I bet your phone is good enough. However if you want to shoot video, then in my opinion the best on the market are by the company RED. The problem with phones and video, they often have a limited optical zoom before switching over to a digital zoom (digital zoom is garbage in comparison to optical zoom). If you don’t plan on doing much zooming though, my iPhone takes pretty good 4K video.

I'm not a smoker. Never have been. So don't pay much attention to prices. I was at Walgreens today picking up more Mucinex for this cold that won't go away. I'm starting to think it's not a cold but that other thing that starts with a C. But I digress, I was in line waiting to pay, glancing around and I see the wall of cigarettes behind the counter. Like I said, I don't pay much attention to that stuff, but then I saw the prices! Holy tobacco road! It ain't cheap to be a smoker.

It shows you just how addictive cigarettes are. Imagine selling people on a habit where they pay crazy amounts of money to breathe in toxic fumes, smell terrible, lose their sense of taste, cough constantly, and live the tail-end of their shortened-life in excruciating levels of declining health.

There's no reason anyone would stay on board for that, unless they were addicted.

That's possible and it's certainly more convenient carrying your phone around than it is a camera. I'll do a bit of reading and see where that takes me.

You wouldn’t like interviews with hockey players.
They overuse that word immensely.

In fact to go one further, if this were some sort of ... “Olympics” for words I dislike, the word “obviously” would have to be up on the podium, awarded a bronze medal. Alongside it, would be the word “trope” receiving the gold...
I feel like you're in your own feels with the overuse of "feel".

You feel me?

It's cool. I'm just having fun inside, as they won't let me play out in the rain.

Wait forever for a blu-ray to drop in price, it doesn't, so you buy it full price because you want a slipcover and the store only has 2 copies left.

That blu-ray drops by $7 a week later.

Don't keep receipts or have an account at the store so can't price adjust.

$7 isn’t much. I once placed an order with Amazon (this was before I had Prine, and free shipping meant a 2 week delay) and by the time it shipped, the price dropped $40. I asked for a price adjustment, saying the item didn’t even ship yet. They refused. Ended up paying $70 for an item that later dropped to $30 before I even had it in my hands
