Thanks everyone for the condolences and encouragement. Just posting about my friend helped. My condolences to everyone whom responded with stories of their own lost loved ones. Thanks again for providing a caring community during this time for me. Movies have always been a passion of mine, and this forum community helps make my day a little brighter.

About to the stage of pulling my hair out as I try to figure out how insurance companies come up with their quotes. Apparently my "new" truck is going to cost about $500 more to insure than the newer Jeep. Both vehicles have the same bells 'n whistles pretty much, with the exception of push button start and passive entry, but they're a year apart (the truck is actually older). My driving history is clean and I have an above average credit score(how that ties in IDK but whatever).

The sad part, when I expressed my opinion to my agent over the phone she basically told me I'd have a cheaper premium if I was financing a 2020 model instead. So what, older vehicles are a greater liability? um that doesn't make sense, if I total a 2014 with 80k miles on it, it'll cost less than if I were to total a 2020 with 10k.

And before anyone points out that trucks in general cost more, I'm well aware of that fact but still wasn't expecting such a big difference. And I have already requested multiple quotes with different insurance companies and am with the lowest offer. Oh well, I plan on paying off the loan next year anyway and will likely change it to the bare minimum liability insurance as required by law

Probably someone somewhere really skewed the actuarial tables by getting some big payouts for that model?

Yeah that wouldn't surprise me, its a very popular make/model. \\ oh well I'll see what my policy renewal says next month, and go from there. I'll probably call around and get new quotes before I downgrade to basic liability

Since Synapse just announced a new 4K restoration of Living Dead at Manchester Morgue on blu-ray, I wonder if they'll pull a Blue Underground and announce a UHD in a few months.

I hadn't picked up Doctor Sleep on Blu-Ray yet. I thought up until now that the director's cut was included on all additions, including the 4k, but it seems that its just a limited edition Blu-Ray which is now hard to get hold of. Wish I'd realised sooner, I would have picked it up quicker.

hopefully everything else falls into place though not sure if quitting a job during the time social security is working on making a decision about if you get it or not but i seriously couldn't do my work anymore.

I am tired.
The last few days have been somewhat intense (I did well), and I did get a bit of a break today, but I can feel my mind and body are tired.
In a few days, I'll have plenty of time to chill and recharge.

Snakes come in all shapes, sizes, colors and patterns. I'm not as concerned with that as I am with the venom from its fangs. Is it poisonous or isn't it? People are much the same and it's unfortunate that political debate and race relations are becoming frayed due to a lack of intellectual honesty. I want to live on an island away from this insanity, a place where I can create and revel in my own madness. I want to run naked on the beach, eat mushrooms and trip balls. I want to hunt and eat wild boar, and then I want to sleep. Eventually I want to return to society, though, that new PS5 looks really cool.

I'll have to tell my brother sometime that I quite my job but I figure out how to explain why. He doesn't seem to understand or get my mental illness or care sometimes. I wish I could go to court and be my own guardian again. I just want to live with my princess somewhere and write. have my muse by my side and the one I love where its just us is asking for too much but I'm beginning to hate moreso the lack of intelligence in this country.

Vacation planning... OUTER BANKS!

We were supposed to go on a cruise, so this is a quick trip on a whim to make up for it. Going last week of July.

Have pretty much the ultimate "first world problem": my bestie housemate always seems these days to pile my plate with too much food at mealtime. (She's a master chef and insists on doing all the cooking, which is totally fine by me.) However, she weighs considerably more than I do, even putting on more weight than usual lately due to depression over the virus, and maybe consequently plates my food with an eye towards her own appetite. Trouble is, because our budget is very tight, and I guess also because of the way I was raised, I feel very guilty for not cleaning my plate when we're having food which does not keep very well for leftovers (shrimp, for example). As a result, I end up losing sleep sometimes because I'm way too full to lie down for many hours afterwards. I've tried many times to communicate with her about this in an effort to redress the problem, but it doesn't seem to register. (It also doesn't help that I'm anything but assertive.)

Still, it's hardly a big deal, and one I'll just continue working on with her. I'm sure we can figure out some system which will work.
