Everything seems to be on my mind. the whole universe at times which leads to me to trying to figure out what my path is. I have done some poems and working on a story but I don't get inspired easily. I guess I have to work on my innerness, the me that I am to get back to what I enjoy. I hate letting go of someone who's my muse, my darling.

all the signs are pointing to working on my self but can I actually do it.

so my Samsung blu player "died" friday, today I find out that I'm not alone.

the irony: my VCR is over 30 years old - and works as good as expected and has seen many dvd and blu players come and go........... and it's an Emerson!

I vote that you watch Jojo Rabbit.
That way you can tell me wether to get it or not.
Thanks! I have a lot of movies in my collection that I have never seen before. I did see JoJo Rabbit in the theater and I enjoyed it. I look froward to watching it again. I went with Peppermint last night. Tonight was Virtuosity.

I had stopped going to the movies before the pandemic hit mostly because I felt the experience wasn't worth it anymore but, man, do I miss going now. I think I'm going to buy one of those Unlimited Passes when theaters reopen, which, by the looks of it, won't be anytime soon. The longer these morons decide to walk around in public without wearing a mask, the longer this nightmare will endure.

well another month or so in debt (like I'll never not owe a fortune aka student loans etc)

I Best Buy'ed (w/ 'free' next day delivery) a new Sony(!) 4K player -- since Samsung isn't getting around to caring about bricking their blu players, I really don't want to play a long game and wait and see. It doesn't appear they care at all!

Meanwhile, I've moved the living room bb player to my 1080 tv - which is the critical tv I need for the times I live in the bed.

So sure as anything, when the new player arrives, what's the odds that Samsung would have fixed everything? lol

Wondering where I'm going to go later today (Friday). I love traveling and you can't always get to Europe or the places you really want to go but I enjoy little trips right here in Northern California. I may go back to San Francisco or maybe Big Basin (state park) or perhaps up to the mountains (Sierra Nevadas). The Marines have a mountain warfare base up in the mountains so I may even go up there but that'd be a good 3.5 hour+ hour trip and I'd only be going for the day. That wouldn't be my destination and despite having a Marine Corp military ID, I don't think I'd even get on the base but I dunno. We'll see. City? Beach? Mountains? Bathroom and then the sofa all day?

My electric bill is all over the place. One month it'll be $147.00, and $44.00 the next. I live alone so there's no reason why my bill should be a hundred and fifty bucks - are they "guesstimating" my bill and just charging me less in subsequent months to compensate? I'd rather they just bill me correctly month-to-month.

What's the breakdown on your bill?

Do you have one of those smart meters that guesses?

Smart meter? Lord, no. My building is very old and falling apart - we're lucky to have meters at all lol. I've never bothered going over the breakdowns on my bill online - don't understand all the technical stuff. I do use a space heater in Winter and have an A/C in the bedroom but I'm only home weeknights and weekends.

The entire month of June has been between 85 to 95. Looks like it'll be continuing into July now too. I'm so tired of the heat.

$150? Yikes, how big is your apartment? We live in a inefficient 3bdrm ranch-style house and our electric bill isn't even $100. Think the highest I've seen is $90 and that was with two ACs running nearly nonstop all month. Our last place was a 2bdrm apartment and our electric bill was in the $30-35 range each month.

An item I ordered April 5th off eBay from China finally got here today. I'd probably be bothered by that if the seller hadn't refunded me 5 weeks ago so at least I got something for the inconvenience.

I had the same thing happen ... I got refunded last week "by Amazon" for something that just arrived, 2 months late ( from China )..

I need to sell a shit ton of stuff. I'm $1,600.oo short of my goal of buying a house!
I already have the $8,000 for the down payment. I just need the closing cost money.
I have a crap ton of DVD, BD,3D BD, 4k for sale, most in CD jewel cases. There are a bunch in cases.
I have Clothes and books, some video games and toys.
I listed on ebay, but no one wants anything. I had someone offer me $10 for the entire 3D lot. -__-
I just don't know where or how to sell and turn even a small profit.

Congrats on saving up for the down payment! Have you already thought about getting a side job to earn the rest? House prices are expected to continue to go down, so you might even get a better deal if you wait another 1-3 months. I agree that trying to sell our collections is disappointing...it takes time and effort to manage ebay and nobody values physical media collections the same way we do. It's really hard to make a profit on ebay/mercari/letgo etc. unless you have something really unique and are willing to wait for an interested buyer.

I've had packages go a week or two without updating. Recently things have been normal for me again, knock on wood.

I've had to really check negative user reviews lately before ordering, because a lot of eBay sellers are trying to be slick. Of course the seller is stateside, but when they fulfill the order, it's actually drop-shipped from China. The buyer wouldn't even be aware of this until the tracking started to update. This practice has only increased because a lot of PPE is coming from China anyway.

I had some face masks on order from a Cali seller, which ended up taking three months to arrive from China. My favorite part is that, at a certain point, USPS tracking actually includes apologies on the extended-time tracking updates. Never seen that until recently.
