Work actually scheduled 2 of the slowest dishwashers I've ever seen to close together alone Thursday night. Wish I could be there to see it, bet they'll be there till like 11 lol, neither of them have the work ethic to push themselves to close quickly.

Situations keep changing and I wonder if I'll even get a load of stuff this year from the storage unit. I would like before my birthday so I play some old school games.

Not sure if I should start the process of finding a cat yet. I need an emotional support one but I'm not sure if getting one from the shelter is going to work. I'll talk to one of my people.

Now I have to hastily plan my time off for the next four months (I couldn't take any time off during the lockdown).
Thankfully, my supervisor is really nice and will approve almost anything that I request. I always save my vacation time for the last 3 months of the year, near the holidays.

I like to take 5 days off in Oct. & Nov. and the rest in December.

Hopefully, you figure out your vacation days.

Went inside one of my local Wendy's to get a large drink (they have Coke Freestyle with rare drinks I like) and I tried to use a $20 bill and they were like "we don't have any coins."

I knew there was a coin shortage but not to this level.

hopefully what I ordered make the desk neater though I could work on cable management. If it doesn't work for my laptop then I'll have to return it and figure out what does but the picture looks like would work with any laptop even though mine is kinda thin being an air. I need to get this table cleaner looking and figure out how to add my mac pro and another monitor

I miss the Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon. I didn't actually watch the show but it was an annual rite of passage marking the beginning of my favorite time of the year: Fall. Ah, Fall - cool, crisp air, beautiful foliage, shorter days. I wouldn't change the four seasons for one singular type of climate for anything in the world. Lived 5 years in the Caribbean and I hated that it was 85 degrees on Christmas.

i don't think there really is a coin shortage. most people use a credit/debit card for most purchases. and the U.S. Mint is operating at full capacity (has been since mid-june). so these businesses that are saying "pay with card or exact change" are just panicking for no reason.

where i work, we had signs up saying to please pay with either a card or exact change if using cash. we took them down a couple weeks ago. about 95 % of our transactions are card, anyway; so the amount of cash we see is nothing like it was probably 20 years ago.

also, when businesses started opening back up, i don't think the majority of people started using cash for everything instead of cards simply because they were in quarantine and could go out and shop all of a sudden. they used the same methods to pay as they always had; that didn't change.

but if businesses want to turn people away simply because they don't have exact change, i'm sure those customers are ok with going somewhere else to spend their money. i know i would be.

I've seen a lot of businesses offering to round your purchase up to the next dollar if using cash and donate the difference to a charity/hospital. I never use cash, but I would be okay with that if I did. Hell, I never even use my card. Apple Pay for everything.

Today is ANOTHER BORING DAY at my household.

Typically, this is the time I'd hit up the movie theater to catch a random movie... I miss those days.

if they'd all round up and donate like that, i wouldn't mind it, either. as far as apple pay, there's not a whole lot of places around here that use it.

how big is the monitor? I'd rather wait for the sales i know are coming but then again I'm use to anything below 32inch.

you can endure this.

Are loaves of bread supposed to run you $4? I know that merchants can pretty much set their own prices, within limits, but I think four bucks for a loaf of wheat bread is pushing those limits. The most I've ever paid was $2.49 for regular name-brand white bread. I hurriedly rushed into my neighborhood market last night before they closed to grab some bread without checking the price. Oh, well.

today's the day I should hear back from the Dog place but at least I now have SSI so I'm not too worried about not getting it. I still want a job though to have extra cash and something to do.

i should get back to my novel but this whole year I've only been able to write poetry and even still that was a struggle. Maybe I shouldn't be a writer or its still taking time to adjust my thought patterns with my medications.

Is it weird that I love the butt/heel of a loaf of bread? I wish they would sell bread that was all heels.

I suppose I shouldn't expect hear anything from this dog place. I'll start again tomorrow on other types of work but at least I have some success with SS and I've paid several bills.

and the vertical stand really helps having more space on this desk.
