At the moment, they're illegal in nearly all 50 states if someone is outside the family unit or in a gathering of more than 3 households.

I really want to post an image of a meme about banging with a mask on during the new normal.

But I also really don't want to be banned and nuked from high orbit.

Wondering how hard it'll be to pare down 30+yrs of accumulation to fit into a 9x8 cargo trailer and half-ton pickup truck. It may be easier to just rent a moving van and making two trips but not sure how efficient that'll be at 1500 miles one way.

Anyone here ever move across state lines/half way across the USA and can offer some tips? We don't plan on hiring movers, we don't really have that much that has to go with us.

Thanks. To be honest I don't think we have enough stuff to fill a moving van. It's just bigger stuff like sofa, bookshelves, a couple nightstands and our bed. She's talking about donating what we have and redecorating once we get settled. Financially that may seem silly but we're naturally minimalists so we really don't need much.

I have an irrational fear of people with gigantic heads, especially those who are bald. If anyone has psychic powers it’s these people. I never stare or giggle at them, I just won’t chance it.

Wow. I did this twice- once to move from L.A. to Boston, packing up the fam's life with movers and secondly, to move back to L.A. for both work and realizing moving to Boston was a total mistake! The first time we hired movers and it was totally not worth it- we tend to live simply and thought we had pared down our belongings to things we legitimately loved. Turns out we didn't legitimately love all those things as we dropped them off with my mother-in-law for storage when we moved back and haven't missed them since. I rented a U-haul and fit what I could and left stuff that my wife initially had a hard time parting with with her mom- but a few months removed and she didn't miss any of it either. My kids were too young to do a cross-country trip at the time, so my wife flew with them and I carted our two dogs across the country in the front of the Uhaul and put my pick-up on a trailer that I carted behind. The whole works was a monstrosity and my blood pressure hauling such a load was pretty high the whole ride, but I stand by paring down to what you can fit and calling that what's important.

Sorry for the short novel- lost one of the dogs today- a 17 year-old beagle, so I'm sentimental and about to do something rare and get drunk. Hope you have safe travels and that some of this was helpful!

Hoping for a much better 2021. 2020 has been a total mess, & now this unbearable christmas BS has me longing for a new year in which I can hopefully more easily deal with my misanthropy.

First, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my "best friend"(also a beagle) 5 years ago.

As for the move, we have gone through the apartment marking stuff either donate, trash, or keep. She's confident everything marked "keep" will fit in a 6x12 Uhaul trailer and our crew cab pick-up. I'm still wary that the move isn't going to work out for us but I could use a little change of scenery.

Wondering what I'm going to watch tonight. My video class got done about 45 minutes early so wondering if I might start a movie (probably not) or should I continue with S2 of The Handmaid's Tale or start S1 of The Terror or Westworld? Hmmmmmm

Dude, watch The Queen's Gambit (Netflix mini-series). Trust me.

Don't watch the trailers. I went in nearly blind with just the mini-trailer-preview on Netflix's home page and looking at RT scores.

last night was going to Walmart get s20 plus but decided do it today Verizon get it activated I think 90 or 92 family plan and unlimited

my situation is this currently on my s7 phone 32 sd card is 11.2 available space

I don't know if Walmart can transfer 32 card with new sd card on s20 plus or if I have to go to Verizon make an appointment

however lets roll back to dec 12th when I tell them about space issue s7 phone they apparently couldn't touch my phone at all

yes I want to activate new phone s20 plus Walmart today but i'll be in a pickle if they can't do sd card situation

i hate to call Verizon make an apppintment judging by website it seems you cannot freakin make an appointment until sat wtf i don't even know if i i can go to store today

plus i don't even know if they are still in tochey tochey no phone like what happened back on 12th if so how heck they can do sd card tranfers it prob be waste of time like back 12th which they did nothing

i do have a backup plan i was thinking about going to smaller Verizon store across from Walmart today i don't think they are that strick i'm wondering if Walmart can't do it and if i have to make an appointment sat that and they can't do nothing

maybe i can go over little Verizon store they can do sd card situation i don't know i hate the main big red store during this covid times they are just strange , ya know they were closed on 8th and didn't open up until 14th meh

I’m just browsing random threads so I’m not familiar with your phone situation but can you not transfer your sd card to your new phone on your own? If in doubt, it’s easier backing everything to a computer or google drive then add to your new phone.

You could also check out something like this site on how to, to save you some trouble of finding someone else to transfer your sd card files

I hate to be not working but I'm thankful I've not had deal with Christmas shopping this year. Also wondering when I get things in the mail. I have several packages and cards to get and so far nothing. hope they aren't lost.

well I guess I just see when I go to Walmart this afternoon if they think i'll be ok with 32 sd card from s7 on s20 plus or if possible they can do sd situation I don't know I can also say besides available space is 11.2

its using 20.8 of 32 gb that with apps on sd card mp3 songs pics wallpapers etc etc

I have talk to little verizon store across from Walmart they say they prob can do transfer sd card from s7 to a newer sd card put in s20 plus but will prob charge 25

and you know how I feel about main verizon store along with the fear are able to touch phones or will they turned me away like what happened back on 12th on s7 when available space was low they didn't do nothing if they can but if make an appointment and have to wait after Christmas that's too long to wait and yes I do transfer stuff computer to sd card btw
