There's more work left this term than I thought, 2 more quizzes in Child Abuse 2 and a Child Abuse 3 final exam that I wasn't aware of before. It's fine because there was quite a lull there in the term for awhile when I thought I was done with my undergraduate work. Plus in a week I won't be doing any schoolwork at all for quite awhile so a long break coming lol. Definitely need to find out what the final exam in Child Abuse 3 will cover.

Trying to figure out various things including my next couple of trips or however many trips to go to KY and get my stuff. It be easier I think in a truck but my brother doesn't want to me to do that. I could just do a couple more and call it a year or do a weekend in every month on so like a weekend in June then July and so forth. wish I was closer or still lived there.

I've been at my current job for 4.5 years and I could not be more burnt out. I think I'm going to finish up this month and then quit and give myself the summer off before searching for something else. YOLO, right?

If you can afford to do without the income for awhile, definitely YOLO!

I just lost my grandfather a couple of months ago and now just found out that my mother's cancer has come back. So far 2021 sucks. I know "everyone hates their jobs" or whatever, but I just have a lot on my mind right now, and coming here every day certainly isn't helping.

Might try for a mental health FMLA leave instead of just quitting. I won't get paid but I'll still have health insurance.

Sorry to hear that. Hope things get better.

Depending on your state you might be able to get some benefits if you take care of your mother.

The hardest thing in life is taking care of a parent who has cancer. Dad had prostate and it was horrible seeing him like that with other problems.

I hope it everything gets better for you.

Sorry to hear.

I don't know what's going on in the world but a lot of people in my family have died of lung cancer recently. 6 years ago, my aunt died of lung cancer. She never was a smoker. Only her late 60s. A couple of years ago, my uncle died of lung cancer. He was a very heavy smoker. Also in his late 60s. Then earlier this year, another uncle of mine died of lung cancer. Also in his late 60s only and was a former smoker.

I'm losing my whole family at such a young age due to cancer. I don't know what's going on.

I'm not going to lie, people celebrating that this pandemic is ending is turning me off. Why? Because so many have died and still continue to die (especially in India). Not to mention, we had a fellow Blu-ray.com member that passed away because of COVID.

Also I been through Hurricane Katrina as well, so my mentally is like, we are not out of the woods yet. Always be prepared for whatever bullshit comes next.

I'm never a favor of pulling back on restrictions so quickly. NY and CA have been the tightest on restrictions during this pandemic, and suddenly, we're pulling back so quickly. That's not good. Because doing this is asking for another unexpected spike in cases and then it's deja vu all over again. I think we need to hang tight for just a little bit longer until more people are vaccinated.

More people wanting to get vaccinated.
More masking and social distancing.
More testing in people flying.

...This thing might be with us longer than what we think.
It might require vaccination every year or two.
And safe mesures are still good practicing medicine.

* I'm wondering what flavor of popsicle I should have; banana or caramel.

Exactly. Yet I know so many people (my mom and a lot of my neighbors) who tell me that they haven't gotten vaccinated because they're too scared. Hmm, I'm actually more scared of NOT being vaccinated. These are dangerous times to live in without getting vaccinated!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm not one of those anti-vaccine people. But at the same time, people expect a happily ever after that quickly? Okay. If it works it works. But don't go crying when shit hits the fan again. But I do hope I'm wrong and things get better.

My "fear" is this:
Masks have been keeping people from getting the flu and the common cold.
Once everyone stops wearing the masks, people are going to start getting really bad colds and flu!

I really hope you not being sarcastic. In case you are, wait a year. It's too soon.

I'm serious.
Flu and common cold will be bad once everyone stops wearing masks.

Even on top of Everest they want you to keep your distance, by a separating line...like @ Walmart stores. And you need an oxygen mask to survive, the majority...98.999%

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-57053982

The only safe place is under water, with a mask and an oxygen tank. Just watch for the sharks.
