I think there's a shortage of workers at the places that make them? A local restaurant made a post recently on fb about not being able to get chicken wings from their supplier because "thanks to your president who pays these workers more to stay home there is nobody working to make wings" or something to that extent

Thinking about getting Phil Knight's Shoe Dog. I'm a hardcover guy most of the time. Do I pay $7 and some change for the hardcover or just go with paperback?

Paperbacks are way easier to damage so I rarely bought one.

I dropped one recently and it bent in half somehow and looks all banged up.

But Taco Bell is so greedy with their beef so they never run out. I love the idea of the crunchwrap supreme but every time I've ordered it I'm only given tortilla and lettuce. Fill it up with beef I'll pay more idgaf.

I'm going to call my provider this weekend to see if I can do the same but I suspect they'll give me the runaround to try to prevent me from dropping cable and phone (landline) service. Did they try that with you? I have Altice One, which is an all-in-one box so maybe they'll claim I can't drop the other services because it's a "package deal" lol. I'm sick of paying so much money for stuff I don't use or need.

The city I live in provides cable and internet, but I always thought we had to purchase together. The only reason I asked her is because my bill was over $200 this time, and I couldn't figure out why. Apparently downloading too many games from xbox store put me over the limit. Didn't know that was a thing either lol. She didn't try to talk me out of it, in fact, she suggested I can upgrade my internet to max and still pay less than what I have right now, minus the cable. Should have asked for this years ago...just think of all the useless crap I could have bought if I hadn't wasted it on 80+ channels of tv I never watched anyway.

I'm not going anywhere for it, I just want to do o.t. but not for such a long time and the vacation works for me in that regard.

I take you're not from the US then, but yes, this is an ongoing issue with many businesses. Local businesses have even stated they have hired twice as many personnel than they need, due to this issue, and almost all of them will never show up for the first day of work, never to be heard from again.

I'm having a similar issue requesting time off from my employer. It's kinda annoying because it seems like everyone else in our department is out all the time for any manner of reasons but when I need time off, they drag their feet.
