But I didn't have an interview even though we agreed on a date and time. Why keep going when I get somebody being a jerk like or nearly offering. Me a position but then take it back.

I don't know why it bugged me, but I got a Twitter message from an AMC theatre representative, explaining what a scope/flat movies are and how they are displayed on their Dolby Cinema screens - well, duh, I'm not dumb. My retort was basically 'don't talk down to me like a child, I know exactly what I'm talking about here, apparently not you'

Sounds like you wouldn't want that job then, continue your search and you'll find something eventually.

Yeah it bothers me when companies act like they're interested and then just ghost you. That's much ruder than the customary "you have great qualifications but we picked someone else" response.

this isn't the first time I thought of getting a tattoo but even I could I really want to get to remember someone. I lost in 2015 my father due to cancer and I kinda want to get something for that or for somebody else I lost in 2016 we weren't close but she meant the world to me as I was in a dark place when we first met.

Debating on going to Gatlinburg TN and the Smokies solo this week since my girlfriend has to work. We were supposed to go last week when we both were off from work as part of our anniversary celebration, but I guess if I go solo I can partake in more outdoorsy activities.

It's a hard choice to make in some ways its fun with other people and other it is more fun by yourself but if you do go solo try again sometime with her especially Gatlinburg.

Gatlinburg is great... been a few times, once I stopped by on the way to vacation with my family in NC by myself, was right after I had started dating my now wife. Went to ride Lightning Rod which had just opened and was lucky to have gotten a few rides on it before it went down that day. Few years ago we took our then under 1 year old there to meet my father for a couple days and do a ton of activities, would love to go back soon. Though we are going to make a first trip to Branson around christmas this holiday

Do people still move out at 18 or is staying at home with mom and dad well into adulthood becoming more common? Is it a double standard for women that live with their parents? Men tend to be viewed as losers. What about women? Would you guys ever date a woman in her 20s or older that lives with her parents?

I kinda was force to live with my parents but then they eventually needed a caretaker when they were dying. I date anyone as long as she loves me.

I'm 36, never moved out, and still with my parents and will be for the foreseeable future. I made stupid decisions in my 20s that set me back a lot. Doesn't help that I'm unemployed at the moment; job hunting sucks, especially during this COVID stuff. My parents were never the "gtfo!" kind of people; they always wanted to help wherever, however they can. With my parents being in their 60s now, they need more help around the house. I'm damn grateful for that safety net while I get my shit sorted out.

The stigma around guys being losers for living at home needs to stop; I'm sick of it. Just because I live here doesn't mean I'm not independent. I pay my own bills, buy my own things, pitch in with food and stuff. I've helped my parents buy appliances, I've bought groceries, household items, and done minor repair work to help my dad, and they don't want rent. I don't just sit on my ass in a basement, I act like an adult.

As for dating a woman who still lives with her parents, of course. Everyone's got a story, and it's wrong to dismiss someone for simply living with their parents. If she likes me, and I like her, that's all that matters.

Keep getting emails about how to interview for food services jobs as restaurants brace themselves for a massive wave of applicants.

No thanks, already feel excessively overqualified to go back to food service unless it's an emergency and that's only going to increase exponentially if I'm actually able to get the MSW I've been wanting for a long time.

That's where I see myself in 5 years - graduated from NMHU with a LMSW and running my own case management business to help families live better lives.

sometimes I hate informed delivery since it makes me wonder the whole day what the mail is that I will be getting. It only shows whose it is from never what it's about so my mind goes all over the place.

I feel the same way sometimes too. I especially hate when there are “mystery” letters where it says there is a mail piece but no picture available. And the crazy thing is with packages it will say where it is coming from but does not say who in the household it is for so that remains a mystery unless it’s a package you ordered and received a tracking number.
