I don’t get it. Enlighten me.

I see someone got banned again.
Hopefully he’ll learn and is back sometime soon.
I saw the three matrices(?) years and years ago. Around 2005/6
I don't really remember too much of them.
I tried watching the first one about 2years ago again and I was so bored with it. I turned it off about halfway through.

From top pop stars like Madonna or Wallows to really obscure artists like Dog's Eye View or The Judybats. I zig and zag so much. And you know what? I kind of like it. My upbringing of 120 Minutes really helped shape who I am today and I couldn't be more grateful. I am me and there is no one else out there like me.
The Judybats - I was listening to an album of their's just last month - I'm curious to hear the lead singers solo albums. My taste in music really makes no sense to the average person although I do draw a line to the majority of modern country, death metal, and gangsta rap. I lived and breathed 120 Minutes and WHFS' 'Now Hear This!' - nowadays trying to hear new talent is challenging and all over the place on the interwebs - I really should have listened more to SiriusXM's alt-rock channel. My taste in music runs the gamut as well: modern pop, 60's / 70's rock, R&B, funk, Gospel, British 90's Britpop, electronica, new age, classical, jazz, world music, hip-hop, punk, movie soundtracks, opera, musical theatre (no surprise). I used to have a DJ show with a friend of mine out of UMBC and I worked in a record store

I am going to pay off my cc balance since my XBox has officially shipped. I haven’t had such a large balance on my card in years. I have the funds for this, no big deal.

NAS had been making a noise every forty or so seconds for a while. Seemed to become more frequent after we had another outage two weeks ago. Transfer speeds also became far worse around that time, but possibly earlier than that. Took the NAS into my room where I could monitor it more closely. Noticed that whenever that noise was emitted, the transfer speeds fell to zero. Figured it was probably one of the hard drives rebooting repeatedly due to insufficient power. Plugged the NAS into my PC's Corsair CX650M power supply to see, without removing either of the PSUs, so it looked like one car feeding another with its battery using those cables. NAS ran much quieter than with the EVGA 400 watt PSU, but more importantly, I no longer heard that noise. Few hours later I went to Best Buy, bought another CX650M and put it in the NAS. 650 watts is a lot for that RAID setup, but the other reputable option on the shelves was EVGA again. No thanks. Speeds have been steady for two days now. I have been watching movies over the network for the first time in weeks. Today I watched a 78 mbps 4K movie over the network. No lag or freezes with either movie. Hopefully this also fixes the speeds slowing down after a few weeks.

My tastes run the gamut too. I listen to a wide range of things except for most modern pop, most metal, most hip-hop, and movie scores. Those genres generally don't do it for me. I don't listen to opera, but not because I don't like it perse. I just don't have a lot of access to it. Been meaning to listen to Rufus Wainwright's opera though. As for 120 Minutes, I didn't live and breathe it quite so because initially, I couldn't. I didn't discover 120 Minutes until I was a junior in high school. And then I couldn't watch it. It came on at 11:00 where I'm at and I was in bed and asleep long before then.

I had a strict bedtime. I made sure to watch more once I graduated high school though. Going back to The Judybats, I remember while I was in LA for Spring Break I got to stay up and watch 120 Minutes. That particular night they showed videos for two songs; Throwing Muses' Counting Backwards and The Judybats' Native Son. I rushed right out the next day and bought both cassettes for those albums the songs were on. I remember that vividly still to this day. What really got me about The Judybats was that they were a band from an area where my mom's family lives/lived. I thought it was so cool to see a band in my neck of the woods on MTV and 120 Minutes.

A man walks into the doctors office.
"What seems to be the problem?" Asks the doctor.
"It's... umm ... well... I have five penises," replies the man.
"Blimey!" Says the doctor, "how do your trousers fit?"
"Like a glove."

Wow, a Throwing Muses fan?! They were such a great, underappreciated band, they're one of my favorite bands. All their albums are good, but I think The Real Ramona is my favorite. I liked to watch 120 minutes back then, too. I hate the way MTV usually shows the same videos every Sunday night now.

What's on my mind is I'm in the process of moving again - for the third time in 10 years. I told my new landlord I was looking for something long term so hopefully he doesn't decide to sell the property to luxury condo developers (the reason I'm moving currently). It's disturbing how Housing is turning into a commodity for real estate investors with dollar signs for eyeballs. These people don't care about displacing entire families while they chase money.

That's capitalism at work. It's not pretty or fair for families who get displaced, but that's the free market. I'm not trying to be against you or rub you the wrong way. It's just life doesn't always work out like we would like it to. Making everything equal wouldn't be any better either. I know it sucks and I am so sorry for that. We've all been there. Life knocks us down. We have to get ourselves up when it does and try not to let it affect us. Which is easier said than done.

They were great. And The Real Ramona is one of their best. 120 Minutes was just the best.

wait, MTV plays music videos currently ?!?

as to the Throwing Muses, I'm quite partial to 'University' - I had no idea, their last album was back in 2020 with 'Sun Racket'

Not even gonna bother to counter this. The post would get deleted or I may end up with a suspension and it's not worth it.
