It's been a minute since I've RedBoxed anything so I may do so tonight. But I'm planning on watching one of my own movies so not sure I'll be up for two movies tonight...

If you're talking about visiting a kiosk and renting a physical disc, then I say go for it as soon and as often as you have a notion to, since Redbox is currently on track to transitioning away from physical media to focus on being a streaming provider. Enjoy the ritual of visiting the kiosk and having the physical copy, for it will all soon be another lost experience, akin to the extinction of video rental stores.

I'm wondering if the bullwhip effect of 2022 is about to occur. Retailers in this country are nearing all-time highs of inventory to sales ratios.

Maybe we'll see a bunch of sales? My body is ready.

Dang, I hadn't heard that. I don't stream at all so I'm totally dependent on physical media releases. I don't think I'll rent one tonight but I will soon.

Redbox has been losing money left and right in recent years. They were recently bought out by Chicken Soup which, while not being outright in specifics for future plans, is more in line with ultimately having Redbox as another online streaming player.

I prefer physical media, too. Unfortunately, most people do not...and we're going to see the number of rental kiosks continue to gradually shrink away over the coming years.

I have felt miserable for the last five months and I thought it was just my allergies. I just found out that I have Whooping Cough again. I had it in 2019 too. Doc gave me some steroids and anti-biotics so hopefully that clears it up. The only good thing that has happened today was the nurse was able to draw blood on the first stick. It usually takes about six tries.

`oh man that sucks.. I had whooping cough back in 2007 its no fun that's for sure

OT: I received a letter from NY social services today, declaring they found me "unfit to be a parent" (well maybe not worded the same but that's what they meant). Funny enough its an open case from 2012. TEN. YEARS?!?! I find it hard to believe they were backed up that much. The social worker that was in charge of our case specifically told me she didn't think I was in the wrong, my daughter was always provided for and well taken care of. Ironic how they came up with this conclusion after I lost a (second) custody battle and of course the social worker who was originally assigned to our case is no longer working for the county. I submitted an "objection' letter so we'll see what comes out of it

Watching Up In The Air for the first time in years. Picked it up at Big Lots for cheap some time ago. Love this movie and as the opening credits are going, I see Danny McBride's name. I forgot that he's in this and can't think of who he plays. He is hella funny, hella funny

DVD/Blu-ray rentals seems like a good fit for the Hospitality industry but that's it. Imagine checking into a motel and having a RedBox-type aparatus available in the lobby with lots of choices. Certainly beats basic cable as the only option.

my depression is super kickin' in - I can't stand this ... I saw my high school best friend, who I haven't seen in a VERY long time yesterday and I'm heading over tonight to be with a friend whose been there for my 'highs and lows' - but I'm just crumbling inside ... I don't know what's going on with me ... I'm crashing ... I'm so unhappy with my life ... stop the earth, I wanna get off.

After a day and a half of antibotics and steroids the Whooping Cough seems to be getting better. I have three more days of taking them. Hopefully it does the trick.

This is gonna be kinda gross... reader discretion is advised.

Last October, I had blood in my urine. No pain or difficulty was involved, but it was alarming. I went to the doctor, they gave me some antibiotics... after a day, my urination looked like the Glen death scene in Nightmare on Elm Street. It cleared up by the next day.

It happened again two months ago, and I have never felt pain like this. It was like I had been shot in the wang, and was then trying to pass the bullet. The flow was a dribble, and it was dark orange. Doctor gave me more meds (including a couple pain pills) and suggested I see a urologist. The next day, I passed a clot the size of a no-bake cookie. No lie. I haven't had any problems since, but this whole ordeal was terrifying.

The soonest appointment was today. They tested a urine sample, did a CT scan, and they inserted a camera... can you guess where?

Everything is fine. No infection, no tumors, no small creatures inhabiting my bathing suit area. I'm quite sore, but also RELIEVED. I cannot begin to describe how unnerving the past two months have been. I'm grateful this was only a scare. I love life... hell, I even love every single one of you! My cynicism will return soon, I'm sure.

In all seriousness, take nothing for granted - ever.

No idea yet, they told me they couldn't discuss anything over the phone but that when my letter is received that it'll be processed appropriately. It'll probably be another 10 years.

I already lost all my parental rights and my Ex is taking the kiddo out to Washington at the end of summer, so they really can't hurt me any more than I am already.

Received a book from an Amazon marketplace seller yesterday and then apparently two packages from Target got delivered today so those should be waiting for me when I get home. I'll have some new movies from their B2G1F sale

I'm expecting orders from Amazon, Best Buy and GameFly. Hopefully, all arriving by Saturday.

thought I had a bug bite on my arm, it's gone, but now more red rashes are appearing in a different part of my arm ... ugh, it's itchy AF (gaaaahhhh!!)

had to get some large bandages to stop me from itching, I really hope this is an allergic reaction to something and not something worse like monkeypox (yeah, don't ask ... )

Has anyone ever NOT gotten a security deposit returned after moving out of an apartment? The building where I used to live was sold off so I decided to move out before they kicked everybody out. That was in April. It's now July and I haven't gotten so much as a letter telling me what's going on. Yes, I've contacted them both via phone and email. The person I spoke with on the phone told me my deposit was "available" but nothing's been sent. Should I pursue this or just let it go?
