thinking why i took 20 or so blu rays into a pawn shop and sold them for 13 dollars. i was just tired of trying to sell them. they were all tv shows. like the young pope, discovery of witches, blind spot. kill joys. thundercats season 1 vol. 1. etc. and some i paid 20 30 and 40 each for them. and got 13 dollars for them. last week i took a few movies and tv shows and got 15. i had way more this time and only got 13.

Default Hey Snobs, Shut the Hell Up!

There are so many classic horror titles being released on 4K this year. To be quite honest, I am extremely happy about that, but I cannot possibly afford to purchase ALL of them. I am at the point where I am picking and choosing my titles more. I just recently received the Searchlight 4K edition of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead, which is awesome. I have a new Tom Savini documentary and Rob Zombie's The Munsters pre-ordered on Blu-ray and Friday the 13th pre-ordered Poltergeist on 4K. So, I had to start making some hard decisions. I just cannot justify rebuying EVERYTHING on 4K when I just bought them on Blu-ray. So I chose to pre-order the Halloween 4K Collection (1995-2002) over the three Child's Play films and Romero's Night of the Living Dead 4K over The Return of the Living Dead.

Now, to address the title. There are many members of this board that would say "oh, Blu-ray sucks, you suck if you don't have the titles in 4K." To them, I simply say, "shut the hell up." For some titles, Blu-ray is good enough. I do not need my entire library to be re-purchased ALL OVER AGAIN in 4K. I already did that twice (VHS to DVD, and DVD to Blu-ray). I'm not going to do that again. So, for 4K, I am more selective, and only re-buy certain titles/franchises. Yes, snobs, Blu-ray is "good enough" for some titles.

Reminds me of that show Pawn Stars.

Seller brings item to Pawn Stars and the appraiser for Pawn Stars says it's worth $1,000.

"I'll give you $150 for it. That's my best offer."

Stoked that FAC has finally updated their listing for their Inglourious Basterds edition. Besides the regular Steelbook that Best Buy also got, they added a picture for their special edition so it seems the ball is rolling. I have a buddy in Hungary that will try and get me a copy but he's pretty upset with them as I guess they have delayed a Predator release for quite some time.
If I am able to get this one, I'll have special editions for the film from Manta Lab (Hong Kong) and Zavvi (UK) along with the standard Blu Ray and 4K copies. I obviously have no problem with double, triple or even quadruple dipping

My birthday is coming up on Tuesday, and I can tell I'm getting older. I have a couple hundred set aside to buy myself something fun, and I just have no desire to pick anything up. I went out shopping today and all I got was a thing of apple cider vinegar gummies.

I'm not even that old but sometimes it's really hard to want to spend money on "fun" stuff. It's just nicer to keep banking it.

Didn't know cycling in the rain early yesterday morning would cover my arms and legs in bug bites. Next rainy summer morning I'm wearing pants and long sleeves. Will just change into a T-shirt at work.

Maybe its the news sources I look at. I just look at the headlines on google and Facebook and a newsbreak app on my phone just to get an idea of what's going on in the world. I am sick of seeing celebrity crap like such and such break up or this person responds to that person. Or seeing this person calling out a business in a tik tok video. I don't care. Anyone got something that will give me local, national and international headlines without the BS?

New place I went to just before the pandemic the guy had me confident I could get them out when I got home and in the next day. Pretty sweet!

I mean yeah..sometimes you struggle getting them in or out but it's nice to be able to wear sunglasses and it helps if you've got an active lifestyle. I still wear glasses from time to time. I feel much smarter in them.

Enjoy your new optics! Did they get you on all the dipping sauces? I always hated that crap. Frames $350, carbon fiber upgrade, anti-glare, $75, anti-scratch, $50, blue light filter-$50, transitions, etc.

I never get the car driving treatment on my running goggles. Seem to drive fine in them anyway when I forgot to switch back to my normal glasses.

I eye exam was covered with insurance. I got two pairs of glasses for $139 total. I actually just dropped them off to have a different kind of lens put in them because I couldn't see squat. Going to go pick the new ones up in an hour.

So you have prescription glasses in goggle form specifically for running? I bet those weren't cheap! I ran cross country for 4 years and wore glasses. It was usually a shitshow haha.
I needed these bad boys!

Boy, I don't miss my days of wearing glasses. I remember one time when my brother and I went to see Rambo (2008) and I put on my prescription sunglasses to drive to town. I didn't realize I forgot my regular glasses, so I had to sit through the whole movie with sunglasses on just to see the film.

I went to contacts for a while but hated them. I had several tear while being worn and even one fold up and slip to the side of my eye. I eventually mustered up the courage to get LASIK in 2017, and I haven't looked back. Best (expensive) decision I ever made in my life. Well worth the money.

I can see perfectly beyond the tips of my fingers if I hold my arm straight out. Anything before that is a giant blur. I have a real phobia about my eyes, I can barely get eye drops in and I was squirming while the optometrist had his fingers near them. No way I could put in and take out contacts. I am getting ill just thinking of it.

I also just set up my new air purifier. Now I can see and breathe again. Two things you shouldn't take for granted.

I helped a member from overseas get two 4K Steelbooks for How To Train Your Dragon 1 and 2 and then I helped him get the Avengers 4-Film Steelbook collection from Best Buy over two years ago and I still have them and haven't heard back from him since May of 2020. He spent about $150 on films he doesn't seem to want that badly.

I don't eat a lot of candy but I have an addiction to Airheads. I probably gained the 65 pounds that I recently lost back from sitting here eating them.

Am I supposed to leave feedback for buyers? As a seller it's natural to expect feedback but why should I rate a buyer? For buying the item? I've never left feedback for a buyer but if I'm supposed to then I'll start with my next sale.

Yes, you should always leave feedback. Prompt payment and a smooth transaction means something. You should reward a transaction done well, to build the other party's rep (and your own, on the reciprocation).
