So true...it's insane out there. Test drove a new Accord last month (it was literally the only one they had-which made it easier to say no-

), but the markup was around 8k so you're at almost $45k for a freaking Accord before taxes! Then add in fees and all the other "dipping sauces" they try to attach: extended warranty, tire and wheel protection, ceramic coating, etc. etc.

Hoping my Second Sight copy of The Mummy arrives today. It was last scanned in NJ and usually I get it the following day but no updates.

I've had a package from Amazon UK sitting at the post office since Saturday. If you try to call and request to pick it up this is the actual response you will get.

The labor day weekend did not help matters, but life goes on. Was hoping it would get delivered on Sunday with other Amazon packages but nope.

I should be getting it tomorrow.

I was placing an order on Amazon and noticed that my other order had been delivered today. I quickly went to check and lo and behold my package was in my mailbox.

USPS working hard on Labor Day for all of us.

I have an older Sony Bravia TV connected to my Sony UBP-x700m.

I noticed two thin horizontal black lines across the upper part of the TV. What's wrong with the TV? I've switched HDMI ports and it still shows up. Reset the player and that didn't fix it, either. Any idea how I can fix this? It's out of warranty. It's noticeable on some shots, and not so much on others.

How old is your TV? I had a 40 inch Samsung and after 5+ years I saw vertical red lines on the side and they never went away. Eventually I bought a new TV and donated that one. So to answer your question not sure there’s much you can do unless you want to get it repaired and it might not be worth it.

I finally saw my first "Karen" out in the wild today. I was having the frame for my glasses tightened and there was a woman complaining that they didn't have the frame she wanted in stock. Eventually the police were called and she was taken away.

I had a somewhat exhausting day - had a nearly five hour lunch and conversation with a new friend, went home to have a quick dinner, cleaned the house up in a hysteria since a friend was coming over for a dessert (and movie) with his daughter ~ also managed to drive over to the British embassy here in Washington DC to take a picture of all the flowers placed on the embassy's outdoor plaque in memory of Queen Elizabeth II ~ I'm knackered (...must sleep now)
