Thank God for my movie and tv collection. I very rarely watch any on regular tv anymore.

Does anyone else in here enter those seemingly endless Gofobo sweepstakes?

More to the point, has anyone ever won anything? If so, is there really a need to constantly check the "Check to see if you've won..." emails? Don't they send direct emails to the individual winners, too?

I think I already know the answer, but a confirmation would be nice.

I do. I always open it just in case.

I've never won but they only have a handful of prizes compared to the sweepstakes of, say, alcohol or cigarette or food companies - those companies give out a ton of prizes.

I can't stop entering them, either.

Like, did I really care about the opportunity to win a The Matrix-themed toaster set before checking my emails this morning...considering that a) I don't want/need a toaster set and b) am not that big a fan of The Matrix, anyway?

No, but I have to enter anyway. I just do.

When did the price of a magazine become the same as a hardcover book?

Hahah...yeah I've noticed that. Just go to Barnes and Noble...order a coffee and read it while you're there. Pretty much how everyone does it at my store.

This is the way!

When the internet took over and made magazines, especially those dependent upon being timely and current, all but obsolete.

You factor in the printing and shipping costs of physical magazines for the ever-dwindling demand for them....well, it's amazing that they're still even around.

I was tempted to buy a Consumer Reports issue on new cars but the price was $14.99. I know UK or other foreign printed editions tend to be expensive. That reminds me of Borders and all of the different international newspapers that they used to carry.

It's still not safe to turn the TV on because of the Queen coverage. This is ridiculous.

Best to keep it off until Tuesday.

Fedex is usually super accurate. My delivery date was changed from Friday to today which can happen early on. It's clearly not coming today though as the last scan was in a town 5 hours from me and it's going on noon with no out for delivery update status. Strange how it still says delivery today though. Bastards should've just left it for Friday and not hurt my feelings.

I don't want to be Lisa Simpson to your Bart, but you can most likely read Consumer Reports at your local library for free.

Hoping some of you fellow Keurig fans can help solve a mystery for me. When my Keurig coffeemaker works properly, I'm on cloud 9 (I make lattes on it mostly). When it doesn't, it frustrates the heck out of me. Basically, the milk frother doesn't always froth and I think it has something to do with the brand of milk, as silly as that may sound. When I use a certain brand (Cream-O-Land), what comes out is just milk (no froth), but not always. It's the only brand available in my area. Could the issue be something else entirely?

Who are they?

Just kidding! I didn't buy the magazine and I won't say that I wouldn't buy it but more likely, I would just take it to the cafe and read it there.

I'm thinking about buying an extra backup tv this year just in case the rumors are right and we are getting a really major economic crash next year(s) (the big one i mean)

Wil the prices go sky high? Wil tv's supply's be still available from factories or dry up Who knows, one thing you don't want is being without a tv (if the one you have breaks down) if the big economic crash will lasts for years

Same for your home appliances if they are somewhat old maybe it's a good idea to buy a new washing machine etc this year while you still can get it and for the price you want

next year those things are maybe more expensive or harder to get better play it save

Or the world will not end as we know it and not much wil change....

A bit gutted that Roger Federer is hanging up the racquet and calling it a day. Was fortunate enough to be able to see him play at the US Open back in 2005. Would have liked to have witnessed his genius one last time.

Forced to listen to the same preapproved songs at work over and over again, I realized The Offspring was better than a lot of other popular musicians of the '90s. They're in my collection now. Dreadful musical decade.
