The igniter on the hot water heater went out Saturday and the technicians are here replacing it right now. Luckily it was still under warranty. The warranty expires in three days so I lucked out.

But it just occurred to me that while I have the Vol. 2, I have not seen it yet so I won't be seeing Vol. 3 tomorrow. So most likely, it will be time to hit the trails!

Those sugar/calorie-free squeeze tubes to add flavor to water have been a Godsend. Had I had to drink all of my water plain, I would have given up after a few weeks. Plus I've been getting into Gatorade Zero lately (no sugar, like maybe five calories). I mainly miss the carbonation at this point.

Spend a few months completely away from sodas and then have a soda. They're kinda gross, really. Either sickly sweet and/or harsh in flavor.

You don't realize it when your taste buds are constantly assaulted by them on a daily basis.

I used to drink a ton of soda every day. Most days, easily a 2-liters worth.

If anyone wants to quit, you can do it in a week's time to ween off the caffeine properly. Just have a full cup of soda on the first day, and then reduce the amount of soda by a 1/4 of that cup each consecutive day until you have nothing left to reduce.

I'm the same way with water. Unless I'm working out or being really active, I'm not that into water. I don't know if she still does but my mom would carry Miyo around and add it to her water. I do like the flavored water that Walmart sells but nothing can top soda for me. I'll have to look for the Gatorade Zero the next time that I'm there.

I was a soda fiend myself but now I drink seltzer water. I discovered it was the carbonation that I craved, not the actual soda taste. I don't miss soda at all. I drink the stuff on occasion but I no longer crave it.

After the fiasco of using my Macbook for some online pre-employment training then using The Ex's laptop, I understand that I'll have to get another Macbook at some point. They're fn expensive, so this is not something that I want to do. Maybe I should try reset to manufacturer settings first and see if that'll help. I don't like that I'll lose a lot of stuff that isn't in the cloud.

On the subject of soda, I'd like to have a once-in-a-blue-moon one, but the sugar content usually scares me off. It sucks cause there's flavours that I want to try.
I usually get about two six packs of G2 Zero per week.

There were two young boys on my train this morning - the oldest looked 8 or 9 tops, the youngest was probably 6 or 7. No parents. The younger one was carrying on trying to get his brother's attention but the older kid was just interested in playing with his cellphone, which was almost as big as he was. I don't have children myself but even I know letting children that young go out on their own is kinda nuts. In NYC!

It's not safe to ride the train as an adult in that city now, never mind as a 10 year old. They don't prosecute criminals anymore in NYC, only the victims it seems.

Do you need the Pro? The Air is a lot more affordable.

Propel is pretty good!

I’m currently wondering where all the scratched discs (mostly from Shout Factory) that I return to Amazon end up. I hope back to Shout but I feel like that is not always the case.

No, not the Pro.
MacBook Air is an excellent idea!

My mind is all over the place right now. I've got a vacation coming up at the end of the month and all my plans are falling through, now I just found out my daughter is hoping to be back in the PNW so she won't be joining me. I might just take a solo trip some place, no reservations and just wing it. Might as well take advantage of a little time off and start house hunting and finding a new City to live in. I gotta get the hell out of here.

Did the PA relocation fall through? Not sure if you’re flying or driving. NC is a beautiful state to drive through. Asheville is a really nice town..home of Orbit DVD & Biltmore Estate.

I just came back from Miami.

You can never go wrong with FL. Weather was perfect aside from the occasional downpour.

I am being sad about The Edmonton Oilers getting bounced from the playoffs last night. That was unexpected and I thought there was a realistic chance to go deep.

I’m psyched to fly to my new job later today.

I spilled coffee onto a table that had several remote controls on it. All of them survived the flood except one - my Denon receiver's remote. Someone told me I could buy replacement remotes on Ebay. I check and, sure enough, they have them but are they bootlegs? As long as they work I won't care but I don't want to throw down even a few bucks on something that's not going to work.

I bought two Metallica fabric posters the other day and I have no room to hang them. I have a bedroom that I use as a fun room where the TV, stereo and PC are and the walls have every square inch covered already. First world problems are still hard.
