Call Denon customer service and ask them if they can accommodate you.
In the past they sent me one for my receiver, free! Nice folks @ Denon.

Yeah..the majority of remotes sold on eBay end up being bootlegs. Do they work? Sure but the build quality is usually off.

I agree with LordoftheRings- give Denon a call..

I used to drink a ton of soda every day. Most days, easily a 2-liters worth.

If anyone wants to quit, you can do it in a week's time to ween off the caffeine properly. Just have a full cup of soda on the first day, and then reduce the amount of soda by a 1/4 of that cup each consecutive day until you have nothing left to reduce.

I'm going on 2 years of no soda (technically had a few sips on accident but I don't think that counts)

As someone who was ADDICTED to soda, and energy drinks (took me 2 every morning just to get through a work day), it was easy to drop the soda and energy drinks.

Not being caffeinated all the time is great. Before, I would barely sleep and get a few hours of sleep a night and have to force myself to sleep, and then wake up early and feel like dying because you need that soda. Now I actually sleep 7-8 hours a day and no longer wake up feeling like death.

Drinking a gallon of water a day is easy and I can't believe how good water tastes.

And, yes, I drink the occasional zero sugar vitamin water or gatorade, but those have zero calorie sweeteners though so don't overdo it.

Sparkling waters are great too if you want that carbonation the sodas have. But also be careful because some brands put a lot of zero calorie sweetener as well (walmart's brand, bubblr), that it technically isn't even sparkling water. I prefer the Waterloo brand which has just a little bit of flavor. Hate La Croix because it tastes like static. Hate Aha brand because it goes flat right away.

As for the accidental few sips of soda, I went to Culvers last year and asked for an unsweetened tea as my drink and they accidentally gave me a Coke, or what I'm assuming was Coke, instead. What I drank was so syrupy and sweet, and sticky tasting, if that makes sense, it made me wonder how I used to drink that every day.

Anyway, as for what's on my mind, it seems like all of my local pawn shops are slowly phasing out DVDs/blu-rays and that makes me sad. The selections are getting smaller and smaller and I rarely see new stock coming in. One pawn shop even got rid of all their movies together.

Yes, water is refreshing and actually tastes good! We have lost sight (or taste) of that because a) water is essentially so cheap as to be free which makes it seem somehow "less" and b) the deadening of our taste buds from all the sugars and processed crap we shovel down our faces day after day, year after year.

When you're a kid, before you have ever had a soda, you wanted water. You didn't even think twice about it. That's the natural baseline people should remain at.

I stopped drinking soda after I took note of my legs and my core shaking from internal tremors one night, while lying perfectly still in bed....to the point where I was confused as to the source of the vibration. I even considered it to be aftershocks from a recent earthquake, at one point.

A few days of confusion later, and ultimately realizing that the problem was me, I started researching the true impact of caffeine consumption. What I found was not that unexpected. What did surprise me was to learn about the potential negative effects of aspartame and other soda mainstays on the body. That potential risk assessment led to, forgive the pun, the final straw on my soda habit.

Initially did a post search in DVD Movies as I could swear you had made a post about Gimme a Break! in that sub-forum (I might have got this show confused with a post you made about One Day at a Time). Then I did a post search for the whole forum and found two posts, including this one. Have read about complete series DVD sets being released by boutique label VEI of Kate & Allie and Gimme a Break!

I would have to take a pee every 15 minutes all day and night if I drank that much water daily.

Definitely sad. Depressing when you consider how ubiquitous DVDs were in the first half of the 2000s, spilling out of every aisle of Best Buy/Circuit City and being available in any bookstore, supermarket or convenience store you could name.

I forgot my phone after I left for work this morning. I only got a few feet before I realized it and almost turned back but decided not to. Feels kind of liberating not having a phone on me, actually. I only use the damned thing to peruse this site on my commutes to and from work and occasionally order food but that's about it. I don't feel like I really need it.

At Habit before working the day at Straw Hat and they're playing this cover of Beast Of Burden. I didn't know who it was but apparently it's Big Head Todd & The Monsters and one of the people reminds me of Macy Gray and that makes me think that I wouldn't mind hearing Macy Gray cover Beast Of Burden.

The Rolling Stones have some great songs.

I went to four different stores today and all of the restrooms were filthy. I guess I need to start carrying a bedpan in my car. Also, I would like to thank my brother for not letting me know that I walked around all day with a giant zit in the middle of my forehead.

Lol! I loathe public restrooms but sometimes you don’t have a choice. I find bookstores such as Barnes & Noble to be quiet and usually clean when it comes to restrooms. Just don’t take the merchandise in with you.

Worked four short hours at the post office today. Off at 7:30am gives me the rest of the day to do whatever. Came up to my spot for clam chowder but they don't have any today so I started with French toast and now I'm waiting for a Philly cheesesteak. Thinking about what I'll do afterward. I brought a book and a lawn chair so I'm going to find a place to post up and do a little reading. I've gone to this one spot in this little town called Portola Valley the last couple times. I may head to the beach or I may pop back into SF again since I'm only about a half hour south of the city.

Either way, it's going to be a fine day
