I have a strict no-lending policy when it comes to physical media. Sad part is, nobody wants to borrow movies from me anymore. I guess I should be relieved but movies are such an important part of my life. I just wish I knew someone close to me who shared that passion.

Pretty much in the same boat. Back in the DVD-era I would swap movies with friends. Sometimes I’d get them back but I still have a few unaccounted for. The one guy was a Freddy K and I’d get discs back scratched. Perhaps he now works at Shout Factory! What really ticked me off was when I had to go out of my way to even get a film back! “Did you watch the movie yet?” “How was the movie?” For me, I would genuinely want to get their opinion of the film and have a meaningful discussion, but the passion is rarely there for most people. I sent my cousin a Criterion for their birthday. I was worried he wouldn’t even have a Blu-ray player. Still haven’t heard anything back except thanking me for the gift.

I have a lot more movies nowadays, but there is no way I would lend them out. Thankfully (sadly) I am relived as well because that opportunity rarely comes up due to streaming and not many into physical media. If I polled people at work, I doubt many would even own a BD player..let alone a 4K one except for a few gamers.

One of my closest friends does not really watch movies (works for me as he never asks to borrow any), and thinks I’m nuts for owning so many. He mostly streams.

^ I can't see myself surviving without my collection. Sounds a bit dark but I'm not into sports, I generally don't enjoy hanging out in other people's homes and I'm not much of an outdoorsman. None of this means I'm antisocial (I'm not), I just like being home wearing a minimum amount of clothing going through my collection in my spare time. When I'm not watching movies, I enjoy rearranging stuff. I just find a great deal of joy in films and collecting, probably moreso than the average person but it's still not something alarming to the point where a professional may need to look in on me

Bummer news on your Mc. What are you going to do with it? We most definitely need to have that over the internet shot. Will help soften the blow of the new UHDs coming. Speaking of, my next Shout arrival is the 18th.

It really is. There’s a guy in CT I’m waiting to hear back from. He told me no parts were available and he was going to contact McIntosh directly. I’ll be reaching out next week, however in this case no news is probably bad news. I was hoping he would at least take it to see what it’s doing inside. It still plays discs but the grinding noise ain’t good!

That sucks that you won’t be on here anymore. You’re the only one on here that was sympathetic to my past employment issues and took them seriously.

If you had 14 failed jobs in 24 years, you would understand.

I’m never retiring, for what it’s worth.

Anything with Mr. Waltz…count me in! They likely got along well while filming Pinocchio. It’s nice to see them collaborating again.

Only the ES and RX (now the TX). The other Lexuses are not.

All this car talk reminds me of the running joke from Three Kings regarding Infinity.

not saying much but i think that sore muscle left leg had for i still say like past 4 months almost heal up or is heal am not i just try to cross it to put a sock on right leg doesn't hurt that much so i guess my whine and crying days about going to doctor about it is almost done meh

i couldn't lift left leg for awhile and when i try to bend over to tie my shoes hurt little bit the incident happen before the last sorry trainer left i think after 4th of july week

while doing classes 1 night stupid trainer likes to lift that up little high for folks to get more out of it i guess

i remember standing on it i didn't hold onto the bars on the side when i went on it with left leg and step down i knew something wasn't right

i thought it was just go away but next day i bend over tie shoe put sock on something wasn't right i go look at it and just couldn't raise that sorry left leg

i guess because at the time it started didn't go to doctor right away and it got mess up i did go to doctor kept saying stretch it out yada yada

i haven't been planet fitness at all past week might go over there mon<-since no trainer i assumed its like this now still

i still not sure when heck they getting another trainer for classes as of yet been 4 months now ya know

i will see if my left leg is 100 percent and i can step on and off normal again without holding the bars that is, perhaps its now well who knows

Just did an avatar change after watching Braveheart. It's one of my favorite films, perhaps my number one favorite film alone. I love history. I love films based on true (mostly) stories. So that's on my mind. And of course Sophie Marceau's beauty is on my mind. I've always had a thing for brunettes
