I wonder why so many landlords don't allow tenants to have their own washing machines. I hate going to laundermats.

I bought a good amount of movies from Best Buy during the sale. Hard to pass up $10-13 titles. Also scored

A Christmas Story
Elf
Christmas Vacation

All with slips but now I’m wondering if they’ll drop even lower when BF really kicks in.

Thoughts?

My mind and mindset is in early autumn/fall mode, with Christmas being far away in my thoughts. And yet, the supermarkets here are getting in the displays ready for Christmas shopping (this is normal, once Hallowe'en is out of the way for another year (although I'm still going to watch the original Halloween II soon).

The hat has definitely come out of hibernation during the last few days, and the scarf might be out of hibernation also if it turns any colder (which it could do tomorrow and Friday).

September whizzed by, October not so much. Scary at times how fast time flies by, and yet it does seem a long time since the start of the year.

Yes. They’re on next week BF shippers. Since the website doesn’t mentioned the sale is a BF deal, I could see them going down to 9.99. Also, Walmart had them for 9.99 each today for the BF early deals.

Oh man…did they really? See this is what I’m talking about lol. You bite too early and miss out on additional savings. I don’t see any of those titles listed on the Walmart site so I guess they sold out which is not surprising. I’ll just have to keep a good eye out to see if they drop and maybe BB will adjust if I’m within their 15-day window. $4 savings per film is quite a big difference.

Yeah, it was either Walmart or a Gruv via Walmart as a third party. Amazon did price match them when they were still stock. As for BBY, they will not PM since it would be considered a BF deal, but a simple rebuy/return or return/rebuy should do. Also, the holiday return policy kicked in, you have till like January 14th to return items.

I did something today I've never done before - I overslept and was very late for work. Had to make up an excuse. I don't have a clue how I missed the alarm (I have it set to go off automatically at 5:00 AM each weekday). I was having a very vivid dream that seemed so real so I wonder if that was a factor. Maybe the dream somehow locked me into a state where I couldn't hear the alarm. Also possible the alarm just didn't go off, which is unlikely. It's automatic.

It happens to the best of us. In this case, I would have just been honest about it but depending on the boss…it could go either way. Perhaps it was good to make something up. A crazy boss could be like “what if it happens again” and put you on thin ice in the unreliable category.

Cinema- I would try to set a backup alarm. Even using an old cell phone works.

Waiting for my Arrow 4K set of Witness to arrive.

I always try to go to sleep early enough that if I accidentally oversleep I can still rush and probably make it to work on time.

My gal and I treated our granddaughter and her boyfriend to dinner last night at a very ritzy local restaurant that we had all been anxious to try for weeks. The food was ridiculously awful for three of us. I’ve had far better chicken parmesan on a BK sandwich. A steak ordered medium-rare was served so raw that it gagged members of our party, including the young man attempting to eat it. And the pasta dishes were so bland that they were useless. The salad was excellent, though, and the housemade ranch dressing was perfect. But a dinner salad would not justify the $200 price. I should have read the reviews; they are all either 5 stars or 1 star. Sounds like the place is either hitting on all cylinders, or on none, with little consistency. The very loud bar patrons did nothing for the atmosphere, either. We shan’t be returning.

What's with the glut of horror movies featuring clowns, demons or other boogeymen with huge toothy grins? Smile, Evil Dead Rises, The Black Phone, a film called Jester, it goes on and on. Enough already.

You forgot this beauty! I agree..the genre is over saturated.

Any Resident Evil fans? The 4K box set will likely get a big discount during BF-I’m thinking around $40ish

Sony is releasing a new Steelbook set with Dolby Vision for $170.

I love the new DV encodes but meh. I think I’m better off with the original box set.

Thoughts?

They don't ask. I'm a 28 year employee and trust me 100%. They're not going to question me every time I'm a little late. I did feel bad for the guy who sits in for me, though. We're buds so I texted him an apology and bought him a cup of coffee

On another note, I saw a guy on the bus this morning double masked and gloved. Felt sorry for him. There are still people terrified of taking those things off in public. No one told them the pandemic is over.

Just sent Shout Factory my disc replacement request. I hope it goes through considering it's a large order. They have to "verify" the scratches which is a bit ridiculous. Be nice to finally file the new movies away and close the "case" on this drama from the recent sale. I don't know why but Shout is the worst when it comes to scratches.

A recent study shows New Mexicans are way up there in percentage of people who are fat in the US? Not to mention they tend to eat garbage and don't exercise? Ya don't say.
