LordoftheRings will appreciate this.

This new documentary about the Titan submersible disaster aired on Channel 5 last week which is a UK channel and not available in the States. 2-parts but not in HD.

So any interesting trailers for upcoming theatrical films before Dune 2? I’m so out of the loop on new films.

From tomorrow or Wednesday onwards, a plume of warm air will be heading our way from Africa with a warmer than normal spell of weather (temperatures up to around the mid-teens), with rain forecast as well.

I used to love theme parks. Still do, but I'm not getting any younger and the days I have left that I can still get on "dangerous" rides without endangering my health are numbered. So I've been looking at Season Passes for my Six Flags. They have something called a "Flash" pass that enables people to skip long lines on popular rides, which sounds like something I could go for but NOT for $600! Holy cow. And that's not including the admission ticket

Whattt. The Flash pass is $600 now!? Ah…I see it’s for a season pass. I assume you go to the Jackson location? I haven’t been there in ages but they used to charge $75 for the day (on-top of regular admission) to skip the lines.

Kingda Ka will always be my favorite.

I just had to turn down a request for a $10,000 loan. I do not lend money for frivolous purposes, and especially when it comes from a family member.

Smart move. Lending money…even to family can put enormous strain on the relationship.

I can't think of a single person I'd loan $10 to not to mention $10,000.

Had a bad apple at my previous job. He would ask people for money all the time but never pay anyone back. I did not know that at the time. He landed on my shit list after he took me for $55! I asked him repeatedly for it and he always gave me some lame excuse.

Just before I put in my notice, I learned he knocked some girl up so I’d say karma got him as he was a guy in his late 40s!

After watching both videos I didn't learn anything new that I didn't know already.
It's ok though; I had time to kill.
Also, IMHO, not quality docs.
It's ok though; we are more aware of what makes the cut.
And it doesn't diminish your generous intention.

Yeah…it was a lot of recycled material (beware of all the clickbait vids on YouTube), although we did see a lot of the logistics behind the Pelagic team prepping to get their ROV out to Newfoundland. That was a massive effort which had to be done within hours as the clock was ticking. I believe they said three C130s were sent.

It was advertised as this big documentary (The Brits can be so dramatic), with new sounds discovered haha but it is what it is. Plus the sounds were already released before it aired. I’m sure it won’t be the last doc on Titan. Still such a tragic story.

We won’t know anything new until the USCG finishes their investigation and releases their report. Apparently the Titan wreck pieces were sent to Newport, RI for analysis.

I agree with you; they gave us all the facts, after the facts.
But it's too long with too many unnecessary pauses (commercial style).

* I've watched so much of it when that story came up that I I didn't miss a thing.
It's a real sad tragedy that was preventable; and that, is what we truly learn from some man's conquest @ any price...including life.
The risks weren't calculated in their proper "waterproof solidity".
