They started calling me lol. I gave in at 10:30 this morning and signed the paperwork considering they came to the house. Once they showed me what was going down …It’s not as bad as I thought it would be but from the contract, it sounded as if they were gonna tear up my entire yard and knock down trees. They did not specify the depth in which the cable will be installed. My guess is 2-3’.

They did say that they would also drop a coax as well meaning we will “potentially” have access to high speed Internet. Nothing in writing but I am hopeful. This project will likely take years considering it’s funded by the govt.

Still rocking Starlink in the meantime. They mentioned a lot of people were ignoring their letters and phone calls lol.

They're digging in your yard? Are you worried that they might find something that they shouldn't?

Think I'll give in and make a Sam's Club run after my 3:00 sweet potato. Going to eat all my at-home meals in my room until my parents get back from Iowa.

News articles about physical media always seem to be trying to top each other for the most outlandish article title:

The Guardian: The film fans who refuse to surrender to streaming: ‘One day you’ll barter bread for our DVDs’

Barter bread for DVDs? Are they aware most DVDs are worth pennies these days?

You'll see.

(also, the article uses a pretty good example of a family hit by a hurricane led to four weeks without power, but just enough generator power for a TV and blu-ray/DVD player. Other families came over to the house because they were the only ones with entertainment for kids and it was something to pass the time.)

eBay drama. Item is defective but seller is making me pay for return shipping. Not sure if it’s worth it to get eBay involved but I want to protect myself p. He could say he never received it, etc. eBay normally will generate a return label with tracking but this guy is being a douche.

If you've politely informed the seller they sent a defective item and they don't want to resolve it, it's time to get Ebay involved. You shouldn't have to pay postage to return defective merchandise. This is assuming it wasn't damaged in transit in which case you should file a postal claim.

I worked 8-1 earlier then went for a 6 mile hill run. Then CK called and gave me a 5-9 shift and shortly afterwards they canceled it. Mildly relieved because I don't like working till 9 since I usually get up at 6 but it makes me wish they had never offered the shift.

Costco was closed today for Easter. F*********************************** Costco!!!
Okay, now that that's out of my system I'm at Straw Hat just kicking back and the woman that I think is so adorable is working. She's married so absolutely no chance but I'm pretty smitten with her

I was stunned today by how many businesses are closed on Easter, I never knew that was a thing.

Steal her away like the adulterer you are!

Easter is kinda THE Christian holiday. Christmas is rather meaningless, but good secular fun.

I went to our fairly large mall today to see a movie and the only place that was open that I could see was Five Guys. All the mall doors were locked except one on the North side and one on the South side. The theater was pretty packed but I'm happy for the employees that got the day off at the majority of retail stores.

I'd like to think that I wouldn't do a single thing with her if I did have the chance but I can't say whether or not I would be strong enough to resist.
