I’m like this when it comes to recycling.



I canceled my contract with Waste Management after they jacked the bill up to over $200 for 3 months. Found a local place but they do not offer recycling services.

We have a center outside of town but goodness are they picky. There’s even a strange guy with a gopher arm yelling at people if they place the wrong items in the large sorting bins. They only take certain items. #1 and #2, cardboard, junk mail magazine and cans/glass.

I encounter a lot of #5 items and #6. So I just toss this stuff in the trash now? Egg cartons, Starbucks cups, plastic to-go containers, sandwich containers, and the rotisserie chicken lids from Costco. I hate the toss that crap in the trash knowing they’ll end up in a landfill.

A few of the rejects. The aluminum tin even comes with a massive recycling icon and the guy said NO! Lol

The last time I took glass to recycle I just threw it all in the same receptacle. Made sure it shattered on impact, too. If my mum wants someone to sort it beforehand she should take it herself instead of foisting the responsibility on someone else.

I will say I've heard you're not supposed to recycle certain plastic which shocked me because I had been tossing plastic in the recycling bin at home for years.

I recycle everything, even compost.
Everything goes to the right place.

With WM they gave us a container for trash and one for recycle. I just tossed all the recycle into the bin & called it a day. Wasn’t my problem if they didn’t want a certain “plastic” item. Who knows what goes on when the items arrive at the sorting center.

Now I have to deal with all these restrictions. A bit silly if you ask me. It is shocking.

Right now just thinking about the hours at my 2 current jobs and wondering if it's time for a change but I have a trip coming up in 19 days so I probably need to wait for now.

Then make a smart plan. One thing @ a time, not everything everywhere all @ once.
Start by planting some vegetables you like, and some flowers too.
@ the end of the day, after a good meal, make love to your girlfriend, passionate love.
Then after you both are totally emancipated take her out to the movies to watch Furiosa.

The mods are doing their jobs and deleting the sock accounts, but they just keep creating new socks, and what’s worse, they are thanking posts from myself across multiple threads, so that many members can see the abusive user name.
Basically using the ‘thanks’ option as a weapon to harass me.

That sucks. Sorry, you are having to go through that. Just think of the personal life that former member has that he/she would spend literally hours of their free time to harrass you.

I'll always remember someone starting an account on AVS called rbosterisa*****. I had to laugh. It wasn't active for long.

Well, yes. And if you position yourself you can sleep with your man or whatever and still see the movie. However, women would not be involved. Less headache that way. and it puts a new meaning to the phrase down in front.

I know not everyone will take egg cartons but mine has a recycle symbol on it with a #6. Somebody must want it.

Recycling is a joke. I like that people try to do it. I do it. I separate everything out and blah blah....and then I get to the recycling dumpster and it's filled up with giant appliance crates that were never broken down, soiled pizza boxes, motor oil containers, etc. etc..

Then, you hear all the studies about how about only 15% of trash ever gets recycled, the oil industry scheming behind the scenes, and it's demoralizing.

But, I still try, cause maybe a few of my items will actually make it through somehow into new products.

The future combination of science and capitalism will have to save us from this plastic deluge, somehow. When you hear of things like artery blockage from microplastics, it may be too late for anyone reading this.

Back when ammo was cheap, my father and I would shoot most of the cans and bottles in the back yard.

According to Domino's you can recycle pizza boxes. They even put it right on their boxes.

No problemo amigo, just find a new one. Go to grocery stores; that's a good place to spot single women and the food they like to match yours. Check their left hand for a ring.
And when you find a nice one without a ring, who likes the food you like, make a smooth move ... Romeo.

Anyway it'll keep your mind away from people harassing you. It's an excellent distraction to combat any kind of tough situations. It's guaranteed, or your money back.
