How to surprise my wife with a brand new laptop today. She thinks that we're going to browse around this weekend, but what she doesn't know is that I already picked it out. I'm going to Best Buy during my lunch break and I'm going to surprise her with it this afternoon.......but how?

Are you sure that laptop isn't for you?

I would leave it in your trunk, tell your wife if she can go to your car and say that could you do me the favor by going in my trunk and get something. That would be a surprise or wait till Valentines Day?

I do not like the above idea. He will need to make excuses for why she can't go look at laptops, why she can't get one and what if she gets one on her own between now and Valentine's?
How about... you set it up, have it ready to go she is surprised when she gets in?

I have a laptop already. I was going to give her mine and buy me a new one, but then I thought......my lady isn't going to get any GD hand-me-downs! So I'm buying her a new one

BUT, in the same respect, she might enjoy learning and spending time with you... You could pick it out... leave it at the store... see if you picked the same one, THEN surprise her that it is already paid for and ready to go!

I was thinking something like turning it on and changing the screensaver with a message and leaving it in the bathroom..or whatever room you want for her to discover on her own
