Upside: my desktop is finally set up at the new house. Downside: we're down to 20% of the household data plan so no streaming for the rest of the month. Must be a crappy plan if me streaming a bit for 6 days ate the whole bandwidth.

Yeah it has to be terrible if watching Dexter for a few hours a day already used up all the data. Really makes me wish my 4Ks were here because now all I can really do is read and play off-line video games for the rest of the month.

Can't run more, I can tell my body is already being pushed to the mileage limit. Need to wait till my finances stabilize a bit and then find an Iowa running coach to help me push the envelope despite being 44.

Tell your dad to upgrade or find a new provider. That’s unacceptable to have a capped data plan for home Internet and we’re not even halfway through August.

Mum says they're too poor for more data...I agree with my Dad I'll just pay a bit more rent so they can afford more data lol. They should cap the plan in Las Cruces and pay for more data here, problem solved.

LOL that'd be nice but if they're scratched I doubt they'll play on my 4K player.

Maybe check out the local library and sign up for a free account so you can rent some discs.

3 week rentals is definitely a turn-off for books(especially since I imagine I'll rarely be reading at work) but sounds plenty long for movies!

Yes, it is. The one that really about killed me was from last year. Brad Houser, the bass player from New Bohemians. I grew up with them and it just slapped me in the face.

It's why I NEVER do streaming or have it even as a backup. If I can't watch it on a disc than I am not watching it. PERIOD.

I'm visiting my parents in September for 2 weeks and I am really looking forward to it! This will be only the second time that I have seen them in over four years They're on the coast of Georgia about an hour or so south of Savannah. I visited them for a week last year and that was fun. I'm really happy that I'll have two weeks with them this year.

Mom and I will probably take a little trip. She really wants me to move out there and she thinks that I would like Northern Georgia so that's probably where we'll head. I have been back East a few times and there are some places that I would love to revisit. Gatlinburg in Tennessee is one as well as Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. I'll take a look on Google maps at some point and get an idea of distances. Mom is paying for everything so don't want to add to the cost too much which traveling further will do.

What about using your phone? If you have unlimited data you can make a hotspot. Or just go to Starbucks or the library.
