Poutine. I imagine y'all saying it like Putin and then I think how in the world is Putin the food of the gods? The gods would get severe food poisoning if they ate Putin.

You ain't just whistling dixie about the cost. Down here in Nashville a hotel room downtown at a Drury hotel would fetch $500-$1000 a night. And Drury hotels are some of the worst.

Mum's being rude again so instead of participating in family steak dinner at 5:30 for my sister's ex-husband's birthday, I'm going to Wahlburger to get the daily special and I'll eat by myself at 5:00.

I don't mean to be rude but your family still celebrates an ex-in law's birthday?

Yeah it's pretty weird. Just like the fact that people in my family frequently get upset because I'm 44 and I'm old enough to just do whatever I'm told. Never mind that it's not normal to boss around a 44 year old and expect them to just go along with anything.

I could see this happening if they had kids. If not, it would seem a bit odd.

I'm really happy that I'll have two weeks with them this year.

Mom and I will probably take a little trip. She really wants me to move out there and she thinks that I would like Northern Georgia so that's probably where we'll head. I have been back East a few times and there are some places that I would love to revisit. Gatlinburg in Tennessee is one as well as Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. I'll take a look on Google maps at some point and get an idea of distances. Mom is paying for everything so don't want to add to the cost too much which traveling further will do.
Savannah's a damn good time (especially during St. Patty's), but in the summer it's just way too hot and muggy for me (same deal with Charleston). That being, said the landscape (both natural and the Southern Belles) and the food are amazing.

Too funny, we moved from the North(east) GA mountains-ish area four years ago directly due west and we have always loved being up this way, but still close enough to be able to head into Atlanta for concerts and such. We're close to the mountains, cabin rentals, hiking, lakes/rivers/streams and equidistant to so many other states. We enjoy hopping in the car and driving 1.5 hours up to Chattanooga for the day just to get out and about for a bit without going too far.

Not really any weirder than my family. My family on my dad's side used to have birthday parties for those that have long passed on. I remember one such birthday for my uncle who had been dead for like 15 years or so. My aunt and uncle on my mom's side worked til about the day they died. And they worked two jobs almost 7 full days a week. I know someone who still mourns and remembers the day their son died. And expects everyone else to do so as well. Their son passed away 15 years ago. Now I understand mourning the loss of your child. But dwelling on it for the whole month practically and getting so depressed you can't move on the day their passing is odd. Especially since it's been 15 years. I'm still dealing with the loss in my life, but I don't go out of my way to work myself up on the anniversaries on the day these people died. It seems odd to me.

Nah. They're just plastic cups. If they were drinking glasses, I would so be down. I used to collect those growing up. I still do when they do things like that, but they don't really anymore. I even have the ORIGINAL Jurassic Park cups from McDonald's. I also have the Return of The Jedi glasses and the Star Trek 3 glasses. My favorite are these:

As to what's on my mind, I'm thinking about how I stop thinking about the usual things (obsessing, spending, what am I going to do) and just go with what ever flows my way.

well i was trying to figure out why polk audio subwoofer base wasn't working anymore

still not sure if it was due power outrage yesterday the purple cord stop working i heard nothing there was another polk audio subwoofer in garage but cord wouldn't work on that was too big

my dad went to electronic express tonight bought this it was 4 something

the new one works and i can hear base on my old subwoofer again it was on auto red light and i asked my dad if it was still on auto i don't want to move it around because cord little short green light is on

so i guess leave it alone at least no need to get new subwoofer safe again crank up the noise did went into calibrate receiver test again this time heard base on sub along with other speakers

i still wonder if subwoofer will still move forward on the floor loud movies now purple cord been replace see what happens i guess

Wendys had a good BOGO deal on baconators or the son of baconator on the app. Ate one for lunch and then nuked the other one i brought home for dinner. It was surprising still pretty good after nuking it, not bad for 10 bucks.

I still see people eating fast food without getting the apps, you people are literally throwing money away....

lol. They really are. Totally worth it to have the app. I was unaware of the baconator deal.

I rarely eat fast food, so I can't be bothered to install a bunch of apps that I will very seldom use.

Not to sound snobbish, but when I dine out I try to seek a better dining experience which includes higher quality food, a nice dining environment, and a good level of customer service; I like being waited upon.
