My left foot had a metatarsal fracture that has healed in the interval with angulated deformity. It happened a few years ago. In the last year it has become harder to walk and is very painful at times. I should have had surgery to fix it a long time ago. I keep putting it off. Healing takes 3 months at least and full recovery longer. Sigh. I already had a metatarsal break 15 to 20 years ago with a screw needed. Back then I walked everyday and it was a stress fracture. I'm a 100 lbs. heavier and can't walk with out pain to get the exercise. I have put it off for too long.
[Show spoiler] On another note pest control came to my apartment building yesterday. Downstairs the slobs are having roach issues. Me, I use Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade stuff spread liberally around certain areas. I haven't seen a roach in a long time and just put more down. |

Went to Walmart to grab Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 4K. Apparently the slip is disappearing fast so I wanted to get it before it was too late. It’s really nice with the embossing. Unfortunately they all had damage due to the crappy shelves at Walmart but at least I got one.
A League of Their Own is another release where the slip is becoming HTF even though it just came out. Giants & Vikings today. ![]() |

Yeah…freaking Best Buy. Good times back in the day when they had rows of movies. Going on Release day Tuesday while in college every week was a lot of fun. Haven’t been inside one in months. They sell scooters and lawn mowers now. |

Taco Bell or Burger King for lunch? Or Costco?
Also have to remember to do some online searching for a gift for my mom. My last full day in Georgia will be on her birthday and I want to see if I can find a nice experience, like a spa for example, over a physical gift. |

For now, it’s that $5 your way meal from BK. The only reason I was even considering Taco Bell is because it’s almost happy hour and the medium soda would only cost a dollar lol Did they ever bring back the empanada? |

Another shot from the recent Titanic expedition. Remarkable how the anchors still look- as if they were forged yesterday. ![]() |

I'm not a young buck by any means but in all my years, I've never heard anyone say this before:
"If she thinks she's going to be allowed to stay out past her curfew, she's got another think coming." This came up in an online discussion recently and really threw me. Apparently this is a thing (you see what I did there?) in the UK because the word "think" is often used as a noun. (Like "Don't buy that car just yet. Have a good think first.") I watch a fair bit of TV and movies from there but don't remember ever hearing anyone say "have another think coming." Ironically Judas Priest is a British band but their song (on their official Youtube channel) is titled "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" which is the expression that I've ever heard all my life. My guess is that non-Brits are familiar with "thing" as opposed to "think" when it comes to this expression. But I could be wrong. I guess this is as a good place as any to get people's thoughts about this. |
