This came up in an online discussion recently and really threw me. Apparently this is a thing (you see what I did there?) in the UK because the word "think" is often used as a noun. (Like "Don't buy that car just yet. Have a good think first.")

I watch a fair bit of TV and movies from there but don't remember ever hearing anyone say "have another think coming."

Ironically Judas Priest is a British band but their song (on their official Youtube channel) is titled "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" which is the expression that I've ever heard all my life.

My guess is that non-Brits are familiar with "thing" as opposed to "think" when it comes to this expression. But I could be wrong. I guess this is as a good place as any to get people's thoughts about this.

I've always heard that term used with thing rather than think.

Letting my facial hair grow - with no plans on cutting/trimming it for awhile - i keep touching it wanting to immediately cut it lol, just a habit i suppose. I've always had it very short but I want to see what I can actually do with it now.

Wondering why I'm always feeling so rough, worn out, and not generally good. Something may be wrong with me, but I think it may just be more of a depression thing than anything else. The medicine I take does take the edge off, but there's no getting around it especially with it only being 8 months since my dad died. The first couple of years being the hardest. This time, I think, it has hit me harder. In ways I didn't experience before. Will need to get a handle on it and fast. Aside from the health worries, I'm not doing too bad.

Never made it to today's interview. Hiring event took longer than expected and then I had a drug test. Was just going to decline at this point anyway, fairly certain I have begun the Hiring process for that delivery job.

Pretty cool that you can become a driver that quickly for Amazon. It takes years at UPS before you get a route and truck.

Best guess is they must be so shorthanded they just want bodies in vans now while they hope for the best.

Yeah that is probably the reason. Plus we’re only a few months away before the holiday season.

Yup guessing there's going to be Bonuses for hitting numbers during the holidays. I'm ready, imagine I will have fantastic truck to door times.

Decided to go with Spiderman: Homecoming for tonight's film. I meant to get just a few groceries after work but I was too lazy to hit Walmart. I'm not sure if I would have picked up cookies but I'm feeling like some right now and I ain't got any

Anyone else miss the days of just being able to have extended, random chats with friends like in the old days of AIM? Those days seem so long gone. I remember talking to multiple folks pretty much every day back then and no one complained. But over the last few years with everyone just using Facebook, people just seem so bothered by messages and at best you might get a few messages back and forth and then not speak again for months. Everyone expects convos to be public within the Facebook wall. Also seems like people don't like getting texted anymore, either. Distracted world.

Absolutely. Just in general, those times were just so much simpler, as it was before social media and texting. I'd actually much rather go back to those times, ha. MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, whatever else.

I still kept my AIM handle under my profile even though the servers shut down several years ago. Nothing like a good ‘ol nostalgic boost to brighten your day.

Simpler times indeed.

I still think most people (nowadays) prefer text over talking. I still like to have a voice chat with my older friends from time to time. Some texts go unanswered which can be frustrating. Many friends just seem to disappear but that’s life.

I feel bad about the clients on my current account, imagine they'll move on quickly once my replacement gets acclimated.

I got some heavy stuff on my mind but that's for another time.

I'm at Denny's and they played Aloe Blacc's My Way. That's a good song. I might have to look for it at the iTunes store. I do have one of his songs and then I think I also have Avicii's Wake Me Up.
And right now Denny's has a George Ezra song playing. I have this one as well. He's got quite a voice.

Today people talk less and do more. That's the new trend. Nothing's wrong with that, just the exact opposite.

If you wanna talk it's Blu-ray forum, where films are the talk of the town.
What else is to talk about?
