Noodling around with how to market myself better to a new moonlighting employer, search so far has been futile.

If it were up to me, we'd be delivering tomorrow. It's not up to me.

How is it that Castle does not have a Blu-Ray release? The Average viewing numbers were 9.10-12.63 million viewers an episode for all 8 seasons… surely those kinds of numbers warrant a Blu-ray release. I understand shows like Seinfeld and Big bang theory ran similar numbers for several seasons before hitting around 19 million but a 9-12.63 million viewership is fantastic when most shows only hit around 3-5. I see lesser shows like nu-Who getting Blu-Ray’s when the last 2 Doctor’s struggle and bounce around 2-3 million an episode. (Eccleston-Smith hit 10-14 million at times minus the agendas) but Castle only being available on DVD sucks.

Yeah, I was surprised UPS wasn't delivering on New Year's Eve. Like what the hell? So my package (which was already here in my area since Monday night), will not be delivered until Thursday.

Everyone needs a day off; @ least once a year.

USPS delivered a package to me on NYE. At least it shows as Delivered. Won't know for sure until tomorrow. At least the Holidays are over and we can get back to near normalcy beginning tomorrow. I still haven't received my Black Friday shipping notifications from either Severin or VS yet and it's annoying but not a huge deal.

Also,

It says 1/1/2025 on all my digital clocks. Why does that always make me feel melancholic?

2024 was a great year for me - mostly. But, yeah, I always get weird on New Year's Eve and I think it's because I spend it alone most years. Not much for hobnobbing with drunkards or watching kids run around making noise. People act like nincompoops when they're drunk and I'd rather not see any of that. Then watching the year wrap up by the second on TV also gets me in a weird mood, like saying goodbye to an old friend. Anyone else feel this way?

Sometimes. Though, I am glad to say goodbye to this past year. It was awful, sucky, and soul draining. I don't like losing another year at my age. But this past year can go back to the he-- from which it crawled out of. There are some good, bright spots. And I'm glad to have those, but I can do without the rest.

That seems a bit young to have that outlook. Best of luck.

Not keen on the pre-Christmas madness which is why I do my best to avoid the crowds (not keen on crowds). For me, Christmas Day night is the best part of that day as there is less pressure and it's more relaxing. By the time that strange period between Christmas and New Year's Eve is over (I have called them 'nothing days' before), I enjoy New Year's Eve once the clock turns midnight and the fireworks eventually stop.

The start of January does have that 'unsure' feeling, even though you've experienced it before. I don't mind this time of year, but with the wintry weather (if it does get forecast and happens) you can get easily caught out by it.

I have been told that some supermarkets have already got Easter eggs on display.

Going back to New Year's Eve. It can feel a bit strange, but looking back at the past year for me I welcome, the same as with thinking about friends and family/loved ones, and that feeling of a new year and new beginnings.

Are air horns illegal outside of sports venues? I wish I had one sometimes so I could wake people up and out of my way. You know those inconsiderate jerks who stop cold in the middle of a busy (and narrow) pedestrian corridor to play with their phones or tourists who stop in the middle of the sidewalk to gawk at skyscrapers. Did I mention cell phone zombies? Get out of the way!

I'm almost 40 and can honestly say I've never had Starbucks nor have I ever been to a Starbucks. I can't even stand the smell of that place when I go to Target. I don't know what it is but it never smells like coffee to me. That said I do enjoy going to local coffee roasters/cafes when I go to new towns/cities.

I don't even drink coffee but have been to several Starbucks locations.
