The Dodgers have the best pitching rotation. They are the Evil Empire right now as far as I’m concerned. Last edited by sfmarine; 02-21-2025 at 04:17 PM. |

I’m neutral considering so many players have beards and that goes for all the major sports teams. As long as they don’t put names on the jerseys..I’ll be a happy fan. In any case…It will be weird seeing the boys with beards now. I remember when Johnny Damon came over from the Red Sox and he looked like a cave man and had to shave. ![]() |

I got an email that Capital One is considering another credit line extension on one of my cards. I am hoping that I get an answer soon. I'm almost positive that they'll say yes. Several months ago, I requested an extension on one of my cards from $2,000 to $3,000. I got the letter in the mail saying they had declined due to me not using the card often enough. Within a week, I received an email letting me know they were extending the line on that same card to $7,000.
The recent email that I got is for my card which is currently capped at $1,500. |

Sorry, I'm not a big fan of editing. Actually, it's funny. I made a post the other day and someone made a post after me. I ended up deleting my post and reposting so I now had the last post. So that person deletes their post which was now above mine and reposts it after me so they had the last post in the thread lmao. I have no problem with that but I did get a kick out of it haha
I've deleted and reposted several times before. The reason I do it is because I have a thing, maybe a little OCD, where I don't like my posts saying they've been edited. I simply like a clean post without that note. I think you have five minutes to edit a post without getting that message. Anyway, I'm out right now using wifi since I still don't have it at home. I am not watching as many movies on work days anymore. I'm debating whether I'll stay and surf a bit or go home and watch another documentary I have from YouTube. The last two days, I was watching this episode about gangland in Ireland. Nothing to do with political trouble but with the organized crime and drug trade. Not sure if anyone has seen the film Veronica Guerin. It stars Cate Blanchett who plays the Irish journalist who bravely, and perhaps foolishly, reported on the drug epidemic and various key players in Ireland in the 90s. The man, John Gilligan, who was ultimately found responsible for her death was still in prison when I was in Ireland back in 2013. By now, I'm recovering from a car accident and another guest from the B&B I was staying at invited me to go out with him and his "father-in-law" to Portlaoise to check out an antique shop...a big antique shop. Anyway, it turns out that John was imprisoned in Portlaoise and he was actually released while I was still there. I happened to Google him while I was still there. I just Googled him again and he's again imprisoned for drugs. I think a lot of the Irish kingpins moved abroad to places like Holland and Spain. I guess when you've been into that criminal life for that long, it's hard to get out. Hopefully he's retired permanently by some overzealous but good-intentioned law enforcement officer. |

That's interesting. For the past several times I've had jury duty I was able to call in the night before to see if I was needed at the courthouse. This was true for both local and federal. The last time I had to actually go to the courthouse was 8-10 years ago.

I get a summons every year or two but have only been picked twice. My second time was a murder trial which was really fascinating.
