Damn it. I head back to work tonight and I should be asleep right now. I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night and this afternoon/evening, I slept for about 2 hours. I can't easily fall back asleep so I get up and I'm just going to stay up. Only concern is that I make it through tonight's shift alright and I'm not draggin' too much. Now, I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay up for another hour or so. My concern is that if I do fall back asleep, will I be able to wake up in an hour or so. I have two alarms still set, my iPad and my phone. If I do fall back asleep, I'll set my phone far enough away to where I have to at least sit up in bed to turn it off.
But maybe I just stay up. I dunno.

Sorry BRT, I meant to message you back. I had briefly Googled the ice cream but didn't really get any details. I basically saw what the packaging looked like and it reminded me of other brands I've seen in the store. It sounds pretty exclusive to those three places you mentioned. I'd definitely be down to try some if I'm ever at a place where they sell it.
I'm a Walmart Great Value ice cream guy these days and that's only because it's cheap. If I were to get the kind I wanted, I'd probably try various brands actually or go with a flavor that interested me, regardless of brand. But if I was going for the brand I'd prefer to have in the freezer, I'd go with Dreyer's.

What’s Dreyer’s? Do you mean Breyer’s?

I love the natural varieties of Breyer’s myself.

Dreyer's (sold west of the Rockies and in Texas) is the same as Edy's (sold east of the Rockies). The founders of this brand of ice cream were William Dreyer and Joesph Edy.

Yes. The ice cream at most restaurants is GOD AWFUL. It's like eating yellow snow cones.

That's because what is served at many restaurants is not actually ice cream. It is some other form of "frozen dairy dessert", which is what many, but not all, Breyer's products actually are. If it is not explicitly labeled "ice cream", then it is not real ice cream; it is some other concoction masquerading as such. Some of these concoctions are more convincing than others as substitutes for real ice cream, i.e.: Breyer's vs. McDonald's soft serve, for example.

To be called "ice cream" there are USDA standards that have to be met:

"Ice cream shall contain at least 1.6 pounds of total solids to the gallon, weigh not less than 4.5 pounds to the gallon, and contain not less than 20 percent total milk solids, constituted of not less than 10 percent milkfat. In no case shall the content of milk solids not fat be less than 6 percent. Whey shall not, by weight, be more than 25 percent of the milk solids not fat."

It's a big deal because it's a Disney/Fox title and Disney sucks when it comes to releasing Fox titles now that they own the library/catalog. Tombstone is another example.

Maybe we will finally get Patton. I believe Master and Commander is coming as well. There's hope after all.

Oh man...they do say everyone remembers their first.

I've mentioned it a few times on here over the years, but I was fortunate to acquire a PS3 from Walmart just before black friday way back in '07. That is when I finally jumped on the Blu-ray train. It was advertised for $500 but it came with 10 movies in-store plus 5 more by mail. So you were essentially getting a new console and format with 15 films. It was a solid deal. Only a few people were waiting for them to bring the players out.

I know I got all of the Pirates of the Caribbean films along with Die Hard, Ratatouille, The Guardian, and Kingdom of Heaven. The KOH release was bare bones which was unfortunate. Crazy to think that release is 19 years old now. I sold that edition and picked up the Ultimate Edition release in '14 which finally gave us the special features.
