I'm a terrible person...I own M & C and have used that cannonball scene as an audio demo a million times, but I've never seen any more of the movie besides that.

That scene is top 3 all time, awesome use of surrounds....the other I loved was the train wreck scene from Super 8, it almost bottomed out my subwoofers!

You could use that one, or the one battle scene in Transformers 1.

Ratatouille was one of mine as well. I love the ride at EPCOT. I’m not familiar with Breakers, but I have seen Point Break and visited the mansion in Newport.

It’s worth mentioning that Blu-ray won the format war because of porn.

Remember some of the threads on here back in the day between red vs. blu? A lot of shade was thrown around back then.

Entering into the IT field can be brutal. Experience & Certs = king.

Look into Disney Professional Internships as well.

Heh…it definitely played a large role.

The porn industry's shift to Blu-ray, driven by cost-effectiveness and the sheer volume of content it produced, certainly contributed to Blu-ray's dominance.

No Paige sightings today.

Top 3 in Second Round

Wild that Rory was “E” even yesterday and is now two behind and shot a 66. Still a lot of golf left.

I've never ridden the ride at EPCOT. Nor has my oldest sister. What's it like?

Breaker is a masterclass in moviemaking. Don't know why it didn't get any OSCAR nominations that year. Also, the water in this movie is definitely different colors.

Same with Betamax vs. VHS. Sadly, not for 4K UHD-BD. There was no war and since Blu-ray quit doing pron there was no need to do it on 4K UHD-BD. But all of that can be traced back to Sony. Sony wanted nothing to do with pron and has tried to get it banned from Blu-ray/4K UHD-BD. They have strong armed the manufacturing plants to prevent any from being pressed. Which is why you have to buy and download 4K 'movies" from reputable sites. It's all legal, but it's just a shame you can't get it on disc. 4K "movies" look amazing. in some cases a lot better than some of studio releases on disc. The only problem is most of the downloads won't play on external hard drives. I've been going round and round with the sites on this. I guess this is my thing like your disc scratches.

Have you tried applying to the Crisco Dream Team. The pay isn't as good, but it works on everything.

Wasn't sure whether to put the first two things in the happiness thread, so instead have posted about them here:

- whilst driving earlier today, spotted something you don't see very often on the road (that made me think of Magnum, P.I.), a red Ferrari (was gobsmacked when I saw it)

- a mini-heatwave at the moment (just the right amount of heat), although if we do get the rain forecast for next week I find that helps me to concentrate (rain at night). And there was the smell of a barbecue coming from somewhere in the neighbourhood earlier as well

- some discussion in General Chat this week about large boxsets for physical media titles made me think of when some of the seasons of The X-Files were released on video (large black plastic boxes where you removed the front to get to the video cases).

I’m guessing it was a newer one? Down in Miami you see a Ferrari on every block. Red is the only way to go when it comes to Ferrari.

Enjoy the heat wave. They’re calling for 4” here overnight.

I stayed at a resort on the Skyliner so it was nice to be dropped off in World Showcase for rope drop. Very little wait.

The Ratatouille ride is a lot of fun. I’m glad they brought it over from DL Paris and it’s the perfect fit in the France pavilion. Cosmic Rewind is still the best ride at EPCOT. After Ratatouille, I took a brisk walk over to Frozen and it was walk on.
