It boggles my mind that when selling movies on ebay some put the disc play side down on a hard surface to display instead of just keeping it on the spindle in the case. I'm like I don't want your damn disc now

I had no idea that Eiza Gonzalez was dating Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov. Damn that is a lucky SOB.

I was watching a YouTube video last night. One of those top film deals. This one about summer camp movies. In the comments someone mentioned a movie that I had completely forgotten about. I watched it maybe 10 years ago and liked it. But it never got a physical release.

I guess what's on my mind is how forgettable movies can be when they don't get put on a disc. Just kind of sad that people go through all the effort to make a movie and have it get lost in the streaming-verse, or never to be talked about again...

The same goes for stuff that was put on physical media. Though no fault on the art in question. Take CDs, for example. There are a number of albums/artists on CD that I have forgotten about. Not because the artist or the album wasn't good. It's just that if I haven't heard the artist/album in question in quite some time then I will forget about it. Like Superdrag. They are a group from Knoxville, TN who made a tiny splash on MTV back in the 90's*. They were signed to Elektra Records. I've heard one of their albums but completely forgot about them. Until this weekend when I saw their debut record was re-issued on vinyl as part of Elektra's 75th Anniversary celebration. I ended up getting the CD at Target as part of the BOGO sale. I also got the new one from Deep Blue Something, whom I also forgot about.

* I love it when acts from places around here make something of themselves. Just like The Judybats who are also from Knoxville.

Looking for an insult there's a trickle in my head
Seeing it's worth the effort I forgive myself
Talks that we had
Talks that we had
Are becoming a blur....

...And the face that you had
Face that you had
Is becoming a blur
But how was I supposed to know that?

That is what popped in my head when reading y'alls posts.

I just had that happen with a band from the 90s that I haven't listened to since, and it was due to one of the users here named OceanBlue. I'd forgotten about that band of the same name and thought of the band after seeing said user's handle. Got me to hop on to Quobuz and give them a listen after all these years. Really brought me back to my beach days during college.

They're a great group. They're from Pennsylvania (Hershey, in fact). There's another great group from Lancaster, PA called the innocence mission. I highly recommend them. They just put an EP out this week on CD.

I've noticed it since last night (the usual observation, pages taking more longer to load-up/appear), but the total number of guests currently on here is way higher than last night. Is a certain time of the month when there are a lot more bots?

I'm guessing it's possible copyright and rights issues, but I wish some of the fan-made horror films related to horror film franchises could get physical media releases. Either I read about it a long time ago and forgot about it, but during the last few days I read on here about a Friday the 13th fan film where Lar Park Lincoln and Terry Kiser reprised their roles from Part VII: The New Blood.

It is a shame when some films (horror and non-horror) don't get physical media releases and get forgotten about, or they do get a release and get lost amid releases of higher profile films. There are also films that could very well be rubbish, but even if they are or could be so entertaining that the lower quality of the script could be part of the film's charm, they should still get a release as sometimes word of mouth increases the chance of the film not getting lost. I watched Arrow's Blu-ray of slasher The Mutilator a few months ago and loved it (the transfer on the whole was very good). A sequel was made a few years ago and is still to get a physical media release (I had hoped Arrow would announce a release to accompany their Blu-ray release of the original Mutilator).

I’m really not too sure about that one but they keep coming back. This wasn’t a problem back in the day.

I’ve made a few suggestions to the Mod team that the Guest function should be deactivated.
