No loss for me. I have eaten there before and they are not even remotely the best place for breakfast or for anything else. Chain restaurants are seldom my choice and IHOP is especially forgettable among them.

As for Krispy Kreme donuts I would rather eat the cardboard box that they come in; the box would be fresher. I have yet to find a worse donut store.

While I am not a fan of Krispy Kreme, the one I've been to makes donuts while you wait. Perhaps that's only done at some locations.

It's only the plain glazed ones that are made in front of you and none of the other varieties. Even when you get their glazed donuts right of the line they are still gross. Warm, soft, and icky. No thanks. Once they cool they are as nasty as all of their stale cousins.

If you need a warm donut buy them from an independent donut shop and give them a brief zap in your microwave; they will be much better than anything from Krispy Krap.

Gonna have to make another appointment at an Ear specialist to get a second opinion on this ringing tone. I feel like it's going to drive me up the wall sooner or later.

I have Cobra coming in from Amazon but with the B&N Arrow sale right around the corner, it makes sense to return it and save $7!

Physical will stay as is/accurate, but decided to simplify my digital collection by using more bundles (applies to only Fandango/VUDU and iTunes) regardless if I actually have one or not as long as I do own every title included. Ex: I deleted my separate entries for Scream 1-3 and now use the 3-Movie Collection instead.

I do agree with you about independent donut shops for the most part. However, Krispy Kreme still makes some darn good donuts. So does Voodoo Donuts. Not all chains are bad.

For you, It most certainly does. For others, not so much.

Chains aren't my preferred choice, but I still think they'll do in a pinch. And IHOP makes some lovely breakfast. You'll probably tell me Waffle House sucks. And when you do, I'll know you're just loco.

Most chain restaurants range from awful to just mediocre and therefore they are entirely forgettable. When I want to dine out I almost never crave anything from a chain restaurant. While there are certainly terrible independent restaurants, there are also many very good ones and some truly exceptional choices. There are no exceptional chain restaurants in my experience. I want good to great food when I eat out and most chain restaurants disappoint me. If I want ho-hum food like that served by chains, I can save money and make my own.

IHOP and Waffle House are nothing special; they are acceptable in the absence of better options. Thankfully, there are almost always better options. I have never seen a Voodoo donut shop; are they a regional chain?

Of course I'm loco; most railroaders are.

At Applebee's where I'm thinking about dessert. I was thinking that I might get their Cinnabon Mini Swirls but I think I'm feeling like a Frappuccino type drink instead. There is a YumYum Donuts that I might go to to get a drink or I might go to Arco ampm gas station as they have a good mocha Frosiato which is quite cheap and very tasty.

I think after that, I'll go for a little motorcycle ride.

I have a friend that worked at Applebee's for many years. She told me how disgusting their food was and how unsanitary their kitchens were. She worked at multiple locations and she refuses to eat there to this day. When former employees tell me these kind of horror stories, I take heed. The worst thing on their menu is their Riblets; she advises avoiding them at all costs.

I have eaten there myself before having been so warned and I found their food to be over priced and utterly uninspired. I love to dine out, but I will not spend good money at bad restaurants.

Microsoft Teams Chat sucks. Leave it to M$ to take something simple and complicate the usability out of it.

I often use the free video and audio chat options offered by Discord. They occasionally ask you to buy "upgrades", but it's not bad.

Yeah Discord is pretty good. They’ve got a 4K Discord server.

I miss AIM.

Unfortunately it's work related so I have no choice in the matter. But yeah, Discord and also Slack would be my preferences otherwise.

I have no choice but to use it for work and while I'm generally not a big fan, they have made some recent relatively decent upgrades.

I host a multi-player online session of the video game Baldur's Gate 3 one night per week, circumstances permitting, and we live voice chat while playing. It's great being able to yell at the friend that blew you up with a fireball in real time.
