Went for some blood work the other day and they couldn't draw any blood. Got stuck at least 5 times before any came out. Apparently I was supposed to hydrate (why don't they tell people these things?). I drank some water beforehand but I have a very overactive bladder. If I'd downed what they said was an absolute minimum I'd be in and out of bathrooms every 5 minutes. I drink water, maybe not enough, but what good is it if I'm constantly eliminating it? I don't even have to drink water to go pee - it just comes out

Where's all that water coming from?

I assume they haven't found abnormalities in my blood, otherwise they would've contacted me, no?

Apple store app is weird I ordered a hard drive using my gift card without the credit card and then tried to order some headphones with next day delivery with the gift card but for some reason had something to do with the cc which usually gets declined because its prepaid or some weird thing. Will try for the headphones tomorrow to see if it will work but without anything to do with the cc which is the way it should be when using the gift card.

Went to the driving range last night to get some practice in. Didn't go well. I really need to set up a lesson or two (or more) with a pro; problem is mostly lack of time.

Took a minor spill last night trying to pick up a package Amazon mistakenly left on my neighbor's stoop. I hate when they do that because my neighbors might think I'm stealing stuff. I think they might already suspect me of being a porch pirate judging by the decoy packages they leave lying around lol. Anyway, my left knee hit the concrete landing, not too hard but enough to leave me hobbling for about 5 minutes.

That sucks! Amazon did that to me recently - leaving my package on a neighbor's porch. I held off for a bit before going over, but after awhile, I wanted my package. I felt so awkward going over, grabbing it, and walking back. I felt guilty lol.

I never usually have problems with them drawing blood. My oldest sister says I have good veins. So good, in fact, that when she was studying to be a nurse anesthetist she wanted to train putting IVs in me. Of course, I said no. I think I actually said hell no.

I never heard of that. I've never been told I was supposed to hydrate before having blood drawn. I don't know anyone who's been told that either. I'll have to ask my oldest sister or her husband about this. He's a neurosurgeon. It's funny that it happened to you and not me. Considering I don't drive and have to commute. And I don't hydrate like I should. The last time I had blood drawn was just last month. I had to get to the doctor by bus and was out in all that heat sweating like a man in a sauna. Very odd. And I get blood drawn every 3 months. I have to cause of my stupid medicine.

Not necessarily. A lot of times all that information is on your health portal. They may sometimes contact you by phone and let you know of something. But they usually leave it up to you to check your health portal. I would think anyway. At least that's how it's been in my experience anyway. Your mileage may vary.

The pain of writing. That's on my mind. I had a birthday dinner with one of my best friends last night and we exchanged gifts. One of the gifts he got me was a a wonderful set of pens and notebooks. Along with the sweetest note. I love it so much. I love writing, but I haven't done any serious handwriting in years. It's mainly quick and easy. Nothing prolonged usually. Since I've gotten the gift, I have already written 7 new lyrics/song pieces. While that's nothing new for me (and rather short of a number*), it's different this time around. It's a lot harder writing with a pen nowadays. Much more so than typing on the phone or laptop.

Plus, my mind races really fast when writing usually. so I have to write fast when I'm in that zone. That's not easy to do when you're handwriting. It's hard to keep up. My hand and fingers start hurting. Like i've got arthritis or something. Which I may well have. on top of that, the pen rubs against my middle finger so much that it's causing it to get a spot. And the spot doesn't seem to be easing up. As if I need another spot on my body to worry about. I've already got a fairly sizable area just above my butt that is all eaten up, raw, and hurts like hell. Well, hell enough to drive me insane. I love handwriting, but I don't know what to do. GAH!!!! Why do we bother growing old? It better not just be for the halibut.

*I can usually write 7 pieces in a hour. And that sometimes is on the conservative side.

Best Buy sent me one too. However, mine was only $5. Mine's for my birthday. Is yours for the same reason?

I am ecstatic that my package FINALLY arrived. This sucker's been all over the U.S. of A. Shipping information was sent to FedEx on August 2nd. It went from Martinsburg, WV to Concord, NC back to Martinsburg and then back to Concord. Where it promptly sat for 5 days. Apparently it had an unreadable barcode and had to be replaced. Funny, as it was working all the other times before that. I'm barely going to have time to get it in the house and open it.

It was just a generic cert.

I was happy McIntosh called me yesterday but today is just as good as these beauties just arrived. Ordered in January!
