Boss texted me last night to say I may be starting work later than usual and that he'd call me today. His call is two hours overdue and I got mixed feelings on that. On one hand, I can finish painting the deck and a couple of other small jobs around here. On the other, that's less hours and less money.

Why would anyone want to live in Phoenix or Las Vegas in the summer? I can't think of a more miserable place to live honestly. 110 every day? Maybe some people like the heat...but every day?

A co-worker of mine from several years back has a brother who lives in Arizona. He called him up on one particularly hot day in the summer. The conversation eventually got around to the weather. My friend said damn...looks like it's really hot down there today. What is it like 110?

His brother says "No...actually up to 115 now." My friend says holy sh*t. And his brother replied with the classic "Yeah...but it's a dry heat." (like that somehow makes it better). My friend says "Really? So is my oven but I'm not going to stick my damn head in there!"

I almost fell over laughing...

Yup. When people say dry heat...awesome..it's still 115 out and miserable
