it was the same at my house.

I spoke to my old man today. He just got the results back from his follow up test to see if there are any remaining cancer cells, which come back positive. So it looks as if he is going to have to do some more radiotherapy in the new year.

Both my fiancé and I got new jobs today. Johnson Control Industries. We're very excited! If I'm hired in they'll pay for my college! That makes me beyond excited. The pay is great too. We both just came off of working retail, so the extra three dollars an hour is wonderful!

Old Man Winter reared his ugly head last night. Right now it's -21C (-6 F) but feels like -32C (-26F).
I should've gotten the Christmas lights up before it got cold out.

Several days ago we had a pretty good snowfall and then the next day the temperature dropped drastically. I was expecting the traffic to slow down as it usually does every time winter comes. It drives me nuts though cause people drive too slow and I fault them for not buying a vehicle appropriate for the climate here or at the very least, better tires. I try to console myself with the fact that I've rarely ever seen an accident and think that it's because of the slow driving. My co-worker told me that there was 4 accidents a couple nights ago. This kinda pisses me off. I endure the f'n slow driving but they're still having accidents? WTH?
I'm going back to my old driving style.

I am so freaking tired, I had to work until 1245am EST last night and had to be back, three hours later! I went home, had dinner and watched Simpsons and Family Guy with the Wife, put her to bed and left to go back to work.

It is moments like this that make me thankful to be in a union. Our contract states that we have to have ten hours in between shifts and if we don't, we get premium pay for the difference. In this instance, I get seven hours of premium pay, which is basically my entire shift today.

That makes at least 14 hours of premium pay this week! More for the new tv fund!
