As sad as it reads (and it does read very sadly) I was actually a little excited to receive a forum PM out of the blu(e), only to find it was extremely random, sent, presumably, to lots of people and from a now obviously banned user. I suppose I'm out of the loop re: forum politics.

I am pretty pleased with myself.
Yesterday I had a thought of moving the speakers from our 2nd zone to the living room, along with the ancient subwoofer and using a receiver I bought ten or twelve years ago that was in the shed.
We moved furniture around and I set-up the electronics and now it sounds great! I knew the speakers were in a shitty spot and knew moving them to a more open area would help them sound better.
My Wife is pleased as well and I believe I have the go ahead to get another centre channel and two more surrounds.

What's on my mind, is what would win in a fight: a sock or a gallon of milk?

If a gallon of milk sits on a sock, that sock isn't moving. But if a sock sits on a gallon of milk, the milk can still move around.

On then other hand, if you step on a sock, is still a sock. But if you step on a gallon of milk, you crush the container and lose the milk.

They both seem evenly matched.

I also wonder about things like why you "eat" food? You can drink a drink, but you can't food your food? Instead, it's drink a drink and eat your food. Why not food your food? It makes no sense.

Not looking forward to it, especially since my snowblower is essentially useless at this point.

It's the whole verb / noun thing. Drink is both, food is not.

It's all arbitrary though, some people centuries ago decided those would be the rules for English. But why did they pick those specific rules? Food could have been both, but they chose to not have it be.

I bought a 2 CDs from international sellers recently; one from Japan and one from the UK. Both shipped today, with the cheapest shipping options. I'm curious to see which one gets here first.

You might not see them until springtime if we get all that snow they're forecasting.
