He turned 60 last August, and is extremely fit for his age. He is a carpenter/builder, which he has done for all his life. He is and has always been a non smoker. Kayaking is hobby of his, and is a big part of his life. He races multiple times a week, and regularly comes first, second or third, beating guys half his age. His good health has helped him a lot though his battle with cancer, hopefully this helps in keeping him around for longer.

Anyway... time to toughen up.
Good Heavens, that's terrible. He sounds strong willed and can put up a reasonable fight to stay around as long as possible. I'm so sorry your family is having to face this.

I'm very sorry that you and your family are going through such a difficult time. I really do hope that his good health helps him through his battle with cancer. No matter what happens, just cherish him and at any opportunity, create some more positive memories together.

I hope you're able to stay strong, and I hope for the best for your father.

Thank you!

You've been one of the most kind hearted people I've met on this website so comments like this I know are sincere.

Wondering if I should go to BB and buy a new iPhone. My mom keeps telling me that I need a new one because she always has trouble hearing me when we talk. Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? I was going to get one but I am under the impression that I will have to give up my unlimited data plan with AT&T since I don't have DirectTV or U-Verse. I guess they don't have a plan with unlimited data anymore. I think I can get away with only using 5GB a month but I really have no idea.

I don't have my phone right now and I am hoping to hear from this lady that I met at lunch today. There's a tiny bit more to that story but

And now you just gave it away

did buy a new phone, disappointed to find that I couldn't keep my unlimited data plan. The BB reps thought that I would be able to but they got denied by AT&T

How does one even GET unlimited data? I'm right at 2 GB, I'd go to 3 but I can't justify the cost yet so I'll just stick with 2 for now.

People with older plans may have unlimited data plans. The carriers have moved away from them but it appears that AT&T is bringing it back as an option but at a cost.

$100+ DirecTV is way too much. Definitely time to head to bed though, always try for about 8 hours when I can.

I kinda miss the dating thread.
Other than one post, I didn't participate, but I still enjoyed reading it.
It was an entertaining thread.
