It's one of those "special" dogs. None of the shelters I searched has one.

How has the world gotten so full of hate and violence? We've lost what it means to be human. We must love one another, not fight. We need to pray more, and remember that we can change as a species. It doesn't have to be this way. We need to get our faith back.

I agree that we need to love one another, not fight. Not sure religion has ever helped with the "not fighting" thing, but who knows?

I live an hour north of Dallas, I work in the newspaper business. Take a wild guess what is going to be on my mind for the next few days/weeks. .

lol but religion is one of the main causes of violence so how is it that it's going to help anything.

Religion should be healing us, not fracturing us. We need to love, not hate. Everyone is different, but we're all in this together.

That is a false statement. That is like saying cinema causes violence because some people who watch violent movies turn violent. Most religions do not condone violence, even Christianity although some people mistakenly think it does. But adherents of any religion can, and do, go beyond what they are taught and do things that are against the religion, in the name of said religion, all the time.

Guys, I didn't want to trigger a religious debate. My heart is broken for the innocent lives lost. As a man of faith, obviously religion comes to the forefront of my thoughts.

Yea, it's a sad day regardless of ones personal beliefs. We should all keep the families of these people in our thoughts.

It's a sad week, not day. Hell, it's a sad month, year. It feels like there hasn't been a span of 2-3 days without a major story breaking.

It may have already been posted about in the video/computer games sub-folder, but this is a trivial thing which has been on my mind recently, what was the name of the game which was the subject of a feature on an edition of technology programme Click (shown on the BBC News channel) a few weeks ago. It looked like some of the game was filmed in a disused underground bunker (it looked like the same location used in an episode of drama series New Tricks).

I did a huge eff up at work and it was only the actions of a co-worker that averted disaster.
Cockiness can be a good thing, but sometimes it'll getcha. I feel fortunate and will slow down for a bit.

I hope you did not get written up. Did you almost fall into a Kimberlite pipe?

Wondering how best to deal with the ignorance and stigma associated with bullying, intimidation and snobbery on message boards. There are times when I have chose not to post on here. You're put off by some film snobs who act like they're better than you (they act like they're it. Well newsflash, they're not). I treat people as equals, and even if I disagree with what someone says, I respect their opinion. And I don't get why some people have to end their posts with exclamation marks, which makes it look like they're talking down to the poster they're replying to.

Film snobs and gamers are probably the two most volatile groups of people you can come across. Especially on the internet. Although the two most important things in my life are movies and video games, I hate getting into conversations about them with people because there's a 90% chance they're going to attack you for having a different opinion.

Some people let their passions get to their heads in a bad way.
