People are calling it a cash grab and talking how the band doesn't approve of the release blah blah blah. No kidding it is a cash grab. Their goal of the company is to make money. Popular band leaves your label than best way to make more money off them is a greatest hits release. No kidding the band doesn't approve, but who cares? WB owns that music as has every right to release it. WB doesn't played games releasing it so close to the Stage, but again who cares?

Just not sure people get that WB records, Sony Pictures, EA games, and whatever big company you can think of all have the goal to make money. Their goal isn't the artistic vision....it's the money.
couldn't agree more.

so many times i hear people ask, "why would they do that?"

my response?....."money, plain and simple."

of course most times it isn't plain and simple for them and i end having to explain how it works and how companies really only care about the money aspect, and will tell you anything they can to make more money. if they didn't, everything would be free.

Seriously. Since it became a trend, so many young women with flawless skin have visibly cakey makeup. Every "beauty guru" piles it on for the camera and lighting, but it does NOT work in real life.

Exactly!

I hate the videos where they are like, oh this is an easy early morning routine...and proceed to put on fifteen different layers of foundations and powders. In the middle of this they are doing some horrendous contouring of their face.

Like you said, you see these girls who have very little redness or blemishes piling on layer after layer is ridiculous and doesn't work in real world lighting and situations. You just look like a caked on mess.

I've spent more money on Suicide Squad than the films deserves. Spent about $8 on two shirts, one with just Harley Quinn and one with a cool baseball look to it with all the characters totaling to $16 a piece. The movie itself cost $16.50 in IMAX 3D which came with a 3D IMAX poster. Add that up and it totals to $32.50. Then I ordered an official Harley Quinn hat retro snapback with her ears from the comic books which was only about $15-20 which totals to $52.50. Than I bought the Suicide Squad soundtrack for $10 so make that $62.50. All in all, I did this all before SEEING the film, although I added the $16.50 ticket price. I didn't even really like this movie. I mean, I thought it was a good popcorn flick, but it wasn't oh my god wow. For a movie I just BARELY liked, they squeezed $62.50 out of me. Now Rogue One..... let me say that's probably over $400 in merch etc with pre-order tickets hahah. Just saying, I am a sucker for merchandise and stuff, and that is what is on my mind . P.S. I am wearing my Harley Quinn shirt right now with a BB-8 beanie haha. Also, I did not include the Harley Quinn socks I own that I got on clearance for $4 for two pairs, didn't feel like mentioning socks haha.

Some blind people have learned to use clicking sounds to locate obstacles in their path, much like sonar. I wonder if they can use the echo of a fart inside the toilet bowl to determine the size of their poo.

What year is this?

I went to Best Buy today.

They only had three different models of Blu-ray players for sale...but FIVE different models of record turntables.

I love my old "hi-fi" gear. I'm 58 years old and I was young man when turntable technology was at it's zenith. I still have my 40 year old Sansui 9090 receiver and Akai AP-103C turntable sitting just a few feet away from me. But all the hipsters who've convinced themselves that vinyl is better than digital are delusional.

The deals section is a joke. Amazon thinks those titles are deals? $0.50 off one day, up another? I am to the point where I expect stuff at cost.

thinking about how much i hate working until 10:00 last night, then have to turn around and be back to work at 7:00 this morning.

yesterday: get off at 10:00 pm, drive the almost 40 minutes home. get ready for bed; it takes me a while to get to sleep, always has. get up at 5:00 to be ready to leave between 6:00-6:15. be at work by 7:00.

and then, thursday, i have to work a split shift. i go in at 8:00 am and work until 12:00. then i have a 6-hour off period; then go back at 6:00 and work until 10:00 that night.

i did that twice last week. it's such bullshit. and yesterday i found out that they did that to a bunch of people "simply because they could since we are busy".

well, i let the schedule guy know how i felt and i made sure to let one of my managers know, as well.

but i guess it's my fault for trying to help them out during the busy period and telling them i can open up my availability.

i can tell you that it won't happen again. i've never worked anywhere where i've had to work crazy shifts like that.

i used to work weird hours like that when i was in restaurant management.

but now i work part-time (not in restaurants). so it just seems a bit odd to work crazy stuff like that as a part-timer. and yes, i have applied to go full-time. and would fully expect to work more hours (duh) and some crazier shifts as a full-timer.

i don't know, maybe i'm just getting older and more cranky.

Some places still make them. Mondo sells new ones every once and awhile.

Gradually by selective breeding, the congenital differences between rulers and ruled will increase until they become almost different species. A revolt of the plebs would become as unthinkable as an organized insurrection of sheep against the practice of eating mutton - Bertrand Russell
