Yeah, unfortunately both he and all his siblings have passed on.

And since I'm only communicating with his nephew and not his other children, I'm not exactly sure what I'll find out.

However, I did make it clear, I wasn't looking to cause any drama with them so if he didn't want to tell them this since they aren't looking I'd be okay with that.

Has anyone screwed up with jumping the gun on blu-ray orders?

I've done it twice now. First I bought a second copy of The Fly steelbook to replace my first order which seemingly vanished and then...BAM! It showed up, so I gave the second copy away to my brother.

Now cut to today. I went through the trouble of requesting a replacement for Creepshow 1 through the eBay seller I bought it from and also went through the trouble of asking for a refund on my Amazon.de order of the third film, all while placing a new order on another website and once again...BAM! Both original orders have arrived the same exact day after having previously thought to have been lost.

I would love to hear if anyone else had similar experiences in their blu-ray buying.

If you deposit a check in the branch, funds are generally available the next day. If the check is from that same bank, it could be available that same day. Mobile deposits take longer as there is no physical check that can be immediately scanned and cleared through the Federal Reserve. It's an identical process to that of an ATM deposit, where it generally takes longer for the check to clear (just because of the limited time to acquire the check from the ATM itself). So just because it takes the bank longer to actually get the check, then process it, then cleared by the Federal Reserve, it just adds a few days.

After I run Boston, I want to do an Iron Man and then a 50k.

Some people no matter how obvious it is just can't seem to take a hint. If someone avoids you, it's cause they don't like you or want to be friends. Just cause someone speaks to you a few times doesn't mean they like you either or that you're kosher. I don't like being mean to people, but it gets on my nerves.

A lady that I've known well for a few years seems about to make a huge mistake and nothing I say will convince her not to. She and her husband have split up and now she appears interested in a dude who I know to be abusive towards women. He's beaten every woman he's been in a relationship with and has gone to jail at least three times for it that I know of. I advised her to not do this, but she says that "people can change". Yes, sometimes people can change but this dude is monster and if she hooks up with him, it won't be very long until she becomes a victim, like so many others have.
I wish she would listen to me. I don't want her, nor any other woman, getting beaten by this *******.

Found out today my daughter is a loner. Apparently she's the "quiet kid" in school, refuses to socialize with her peers. Her teachers believe this shouldn't be taken lightly and that we should aim to improve her social skills....

I admit she is very shy, somewhat distant at times, always doing her own thing. I never thought there was anything wrong with that though. I was pretty much the same way growing up - at least until I hit high school and I turned out fine(humbly speaking).

My thoughts exactly. Odd thing is if this was a true issue, why didn't it come up in the past five years she's been in school? And when I mentioned this at the conference, her teachers just said "Oh, it was probably overlooked" ..really, for 5 years? Gimme a break!
