Of course she was, she hasn't seen her mom in-person in over 3 yrs. She skypes with her on a weekly basis, but that's not the same. No extended trips planned as of now, but I just put in a vacation request for 2 weeks in July, if it gets approved we may get to go on somewhere..

It's no problem, not like it's top secret or anything.. She's an Army LPN, went there on a 2 year deployment then applied for a FT job over there. Apparently the hospital over there is a lot better to work at then any hospital over here.

Ah ok. Were you military too? I had a buddy that did all four years in Germany which makes me quite jealous. I'm sorry things aren't working out for you guys with the trip being canceled and all, but thanks to your wife for her service.
I hope you guys can take a nice trip this summer to make up for it. Hoping your leave gets approved.

Nope, I never served - wanted to, but early childhood medical history kept me out. I could've passed the entry physicals and could've got my doctor to sign off but never followed through with it. Oh, and shes not my wife, I was best friends with her husband growing up - and when he deployed to Iraq 10yrs ago I gave him my word that I would help raise his kid anyway I could if anything happened to him (he was killed by an roadside bomb).

Wow Mike! That's terrible what happened to your friend but it's great that you've been keeping your promise. Damn, it can't be easy to be a single mother in the military, and one who has suffered such a loss as she has, but you have to see your kids. hahaha yeah I think it was. Sometimes I'll jokingly call someone amigo con carne. It's funny because the whole time I thought I was calling them friends with beans. I should have known since I like carne asada burritos

Haha well I don't have an artistic bone in my body so it won't be me. Your Silver Surfer is good though Hey do you have photoshop by chance? I'd like to put two faces from pictures onto the bodies in a gif. Hope that makes sense.
