Husband and I were stationed at Ft. Ord a few eons back and we'd take a drive to San Jose every few months for the flea market. We were newly married at the time and we bought quite a bit for our house. I bought an antique teddy bear cookie jar that I still have to this day.

Doesn't bug me that I get mistaken for a guy here. It's all good.

It should only bug you if you get mistaken for a guy in real life I've heard of Ft. Ord but don't know where it is. What branch of the service were you in? I think they still have that flea market as I used to drive by it. I have never checked it out though. I think it was by some movie theaters. I'm not sure where Kingsport is but I've been to Nashville, Pigeon Forge and through Gatlinburg which was beautiful.

Spent most of the day doing yard work. Always shunned the flower and gardening in the past. 'Cause work is hard, you know.

Anyway, it's starting to look nice.

It occurred to me that there's more motivation when you own the house rather than rent as we've done in the past.

Oh yeah, me too! I didn't end up going to OG and even if I had, I wouldn't have gotten it because I think it's like $8 which, even for a dessert that looks that good, seems ridiculous.

There's slices of cheesecake that go for more than that. I think the thing to do here is get the recipe and make the cake yourself for a fraction of the price.

I did see they had a Sicilian cheesecake that was about the same price which isn't a big surprise but kind of is at the same time. I thought the better deal was to be had at Golden Corral though. Sure they don't have dessert quite that good but what they have is still pretty tasty and you can eat until you pass out

Yeah it definitely looks like something that needs to be tried if you like that sort of thing and it sounds like we both do. Come to Northern California and we'll go to Olive Garden. I'll drive, you pay
