The kid's charges will get reduced; it's not like he'll go to jail or anything. There's no way he understood what he was doing.

I am all for teaching kids a lesson, but does it need to be something that will impact the rest of his life? No he wont do jail time, but he will miss school and will be socially stigmatized unless the family uproots and moves out of town, a kid can take the label of criminal much differently than an adult and become more of what he is percieved to be. I don't know what the solution should be but it just feels wrong. I am unsure of the laws in the USA around some of this as well, how long would a kid have a record for? We have a Young Offenders Act up here, which has its pluses and severe negatives.

My blood sugar was 85 yesterday morning, 110 last night and 78 this morning, not sure what was up with that. I think it was a bad test strip, my parents think it was a fluke.

Normal is 80-100 really, it hadn't been 100+ since February and I hadn't eaten anything unusual so I think it was a bad strip but it's back to normal so it's probably not a big deal.

Good to hear! Are you dealing alright with the diet changes and such?

Meh the diet changes will always be hard because I was almost 31 when I was diagnosed so there's a lot of food I miss eating and a lot of food I have to get used to eating.

That must be hard to make some of those changes, your story has reminded me I need to really take better care and concern with the foods I eat.

There really are a lot of wonderful health friendly foods, but it does definitely take some change and getting used to.
