From your posts about her though, it seems like she's merely a friendly acquaintance of yours & if that's the case, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
In the beginning I saw her as a genuine friend. Sure, we only ever saw each other during class. But in those moments I opened up and expressed my inner personal battles I have because I trusted her. I even helped her out with the competition and attended as her only friend who showed up for support.

That's why I was shocked to hear just because I'm a guy I can't have her phone number. Apparently our connection as friends wasn't strong enough for her to let me being a guy break that barrier in allowing me to have her number.

I kept my quiet and didn't talk about what she said to me. Perhaps on Monday I'll approach her in a kindly manner to talk about it.

It all comes down to how important & valuable the relationship between the both of you is to you. Keeping things bottled up never really helps, especially concerning you & your feelings. Talking about it with sincere honesty at least lets her know exactly where you stand. Communication is one of the keys to any healthy relationship.

Why isn't there a blu-ray pre-order for this film yet?

I get that houses settle. I really do, but do they have to effing creak and sound like the roof is one second from caving in on me. It sounds like I'm right under where it's going to fall in.

I know the sounds. We've lived her a few years now, but shit, it freaks me the hell out every time, no matter how much my brain tells me the house is settling!

For the record, the roof is less than three years old. LOL

I'm not lying, I don't carry cash on me. Only use credit cards.

but no one can say how you should feel about telling them you have no cash while you're leaving an electronics store with items. yes, it looks like you're lying, even when you're not.

offer to go buy him some food, if he desires (and if you have the extra money).

This happens to me from time to time. I never carry cash myself and am often low on money much of the month. I definitely know the feeling, as I hate to have to turn anyone down.
As I was leaving Walmart this evening, I saw a guy sitting on the corner with his head between his knees, holding a sign that just said, "FOOD" on it. I circled back, got out and approached him. I offered to buy him some food at Walmart and gave him a ride over. When we got in there, I told him to get whatever he wanted, but all he desired was a loaf of white bread. He was apparently having trouble with his teeth and couldn't eat much. He said the bread would last him a week. In the end, I couldn't sell him on taking any other food, but I purchased him a $20 gift card, in case he needed anything else in the next few days. He was the nicest guy and must have thanked me about ten times. I really wish there was more I could have done.

And that kind of leads me to this. I've been having bad dental problems myself lately. I'd been trying off and on for months to get an appointment to have an abcessed molar removed. I was really having a hard time finding a dentist that would take my insurance or could even give me an appointment in a short amount of time. Finally, my mother called her dentist to see if he could take me. He couldn't at the time, but referred me to someone who did. She offered to pay for it, as I could not afford it myself without insurance coverage. He initially quoted us $175 - a very fair price - but ultimately only charged me $87.50. That was amazing.
So I guess I've been attempting to forward some of the good karma since. I framed and matted some of my photography for him - some older shots of wildflowers - and will be dropping them off at his office later this afternoon. It's been an interesting week, indeed.

Way too many people out there as beggars that don't need it... but they can make some good money without Uncle Sam ever knowing about it. It's a shame.

Thank you RATL for the supportive comment, I appreciate it. Talking to her about it & how she reacts & responds should also provide some insight into whether or not she truly is, or wants to be a friend, or just a friendly acquaintance, or neither. She might even tell him outright. From what jayman3 has said about opening up & expressing his inner personal battles to her as a show of trust & even helping her out with the competition, & also attending as her only friend who showed up for support, definitely demonstrates the types of things that friends confide in, & do for friends. Hopefully she recognizes & appreciates all of that, in the very least. It's a two-way street though & if he were to continue to do those types of things without any reciprocation by her, I would definitely start to question the "friendship" if it were me in his place.

I got paid this morning and see that I did end up getting the raise my Boss recommended. It wasn’t on my last pay so I was wondering.
It’s great that they see the value of what I bring to The Team. Why haven’t they realized that before?
I’ll just be grateful that they do now.
😊
