Thanks, man. It was such a sudden and tragic accident, but I understand life happens. I was just thankful for the huge amount of time we spent together while he was with us.

I just fell down the flat earther rabbit hole. Let me correct that. Not me personally as I am rational and believe in facts and science. Rather it was brought to my attention today that there's a growing segment of the population that believes this shit. I've been training somebody at work and it's come up numerous times over the past couple of days. So much so that I had to do my own research into this phenomenon.

I'll just throw this out there that I'm scared that thinking like this gains traction. People are entitled to their own opinions and all but his comes right back to my thinking objectively comment last week. If you can't distill proven facts into a rational thought process and choose to ignore science, I have no words.

The funny part is when you ask them "if it’s flat then what happens when you reach the edge" and they reply by saying you travel the underside. Well if you travel the underside, then it’s not flat, it’s oblong.

no, they usually say the edge is Antarctica (all way around) and that nobody has ever been to center of Antarctica (in round globe model) which would be equivalent to edge in their flat model. they assert it is guarded by government troops

what I've read is that their model is that earth is like a dinner plate (circular and flat), with Antarctica around outer edge, and North pole at center of dinner plate. And that all countries are on only one side of the dinner plate and that the sun is only 3000 miles above the dinner plate and shines (like spot light) on part of the top surface of dinner plate, hence why you have some countries on top of dinner plate in day while other countries on top of dinner plate are nightime, and sun (spotlight) moves around the top surface of dinner plate for day/night cycles.

Lol. That reminds me of the dark days of elementary school lunch. Back when they could serve you anything.

82nd Airborne, 3rd Brigade, 2/505th Air. Inf.

I also serviced in the Armored Inf. and in Patriot.

I was one of the Troopers that put Patriot through it tests at White Sands Missile Range.
Than after we became "Patriot" I went over to Germany with them.

But in my heart I'm all Airborne Inf.

I was going to be a lifer, I only left in 87 becuase an old Jump injury ( well a couple of them )
caught up with me and I had to be Medically Discharged.

And after a few more years ( in 92 ) it caught up to me even more, now I'm 100% disabled
