I used to get some mean friction burns when I was a kid. I would slide down the carpeted stairs on my knees. It took me about a second or two to get to the bottom and left my ankles rather shiny. Not as bad as the time I was pushed down in a box though. I still remember somersaulting backwards.

P.S.: I'm also a Certified Massage Therapist. I've heard a few crazy stories.

Deadpool and Solo tickets went on sale yesterday, think I need to get 1 to opening night for each tomorrow before they sell out.

Thank you for the reminder. I just bought Deadpool 2.
I'd love to go to Solo at the AVX theatre, but I won't be in town.

We have a new hire (19 yo) that has no called and no showed 3 times now in less than 6 weeks of being hired. Nothing is said when she does show. No write up or warning. Yet I have had less than 10 total unscheduled days off in 14 years and I'm expected to have a doctors excuse when I took 3 days off for the flu. I was throwing up before I had left work and had a temp of 104 so its not like I was making it up.

Is this normal now in every work place these days? Young people the rules just don't apply anymore or do I just work at a shit show?

(D.) All of the above

More importantly, how does she look?

More like if you're hot, supervisors are more likely to let you get away with breaking rules. That or the supervisors are just worthless. Could be both.

Apparently my group turned in our Jour 105 project last night. Kinda feel bad for the 1 group member who didn't really respond or seem to do any work at the last 2 steps but I smell a big fat F for her. Pretty sure this project was about 60% of our final grade.

Is that a specific theater? Because I was able to preorder tickets on 5/2 and 5/4 for those tickets from AMC.

Can't feel bad. This is why I preferred to not to do group work in my courses, because this crap always happened. I was not shy about the other member's lack of participation.

i always loathed "group work", as well. it was more a couple people doing most of the work and the others just going along until the work was done. then they'd just as much credit. not cool, in my book.

Jeff Goldblum will be at a convention in my city.

I was thinking of having him sign my copy of The Lost World book.

Would that be appropriate given that I don't own the movie on disc? And technically Malcolm the character he portrays is in the novel.

You could just go to Best Buy and buy any of his movies.

When I met Anna Kendrick, I bought a copy of Pitch Perfect just in case.

One must groom oneself before approaching him. You don't want scare him, and then him signal for his guards to tackle you, and you end up being all over the 6 O'clock news.

She signed a couple of things usually for younger kids. But since everyone was mostly getting just a picture with her, I didn't want to be that guy. Besides, I already was getting a signed book from her.

As a rule of thumb, it's always good to have something else but remember most of them have already 8 x 10s there as part of the cost.

This is local chain Allen Theatres in New Mexico. They've never really done tickets on sale more than 3-4 days before release so this is exciting. The first time they did it that I'm aware of is Avengers 3.

Oh and yes, I HATE group work. I understand the reasoning behind it but really, a smaller assignment for 1 person to do would be better.
