The bottom line is the monarch decides royal titles, based on tradition, personal preference and whether or not a particular title is currently vacant, as it were.
And to me that suggests it’s all made up. If I don’t like you, and I am in charge of naming, I could call you the "Duke of [insert insult here]"

It depends on the area, if there's a current person over it, etc. It all follows a certain path. You can look up Royal Titles and go through the charts and coat of arms to get a better idea of how they pick what they do.

The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince Henry of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel
The palace said in a statement.
Prince Harry thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex,
and Meghan Markle on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.”

He'll also be the Earl of Dumbarton ( she will be Countess ) and Baron Kilkeel ( she will be Baroness ),
which will be used in Scotland and Northern Ireland, respectively.

And of course if she wanted, she could be called Princess Henry of Wales, but I think she'll stick to Dutchess

I didn’t know that.

Does that mean Harry Potter is actually Henry Potter?

Never read the Books, don't know if the author ever say what his birth name was ....

You can be a Harry, and not be born a Henry

I suppose that’s true. I knew a guy named Jack once, people kept asking him "is that a nickname for John" and he kept having to tell people it’s his birth name.

How come he’s pronouncing Henry as "Hen-a-ry"? He’s adding an extra syllable for no reason at all.

This is the first time I've heard this song. I'm British and can honestly say I've never heard anybody pronounce Henry as "Hen-ary" in my entire life. I can only assume they sang it like this to make the song more amusing, if it can be called that.

Do the people on here with blu-ray collections numbering over 3,000-5,000 have really good jobs or do they just put it all on credit cards? I see some people that buy 20-30 titles PER WEEK. That's just insane to me.

They’re rich, probably. Either that or they have a serious addiction and forego food so they can afford BDs.

I think that's what I like about my keeping up with my yard. It is my quiet time. I just put on Pandora or Spotify and take the occasional beer break in between spots.

Speaking of which, got a little matter of fact with the new owner when I told her I was only mowing up to the tall grass. She replied, but you have a weed eater don't you? Yes, but what I don't have is time. I need to make sure my house is order. You are getting my lawnmower, weed eater and other yard equipment. So you can take care of that if need be.

Yeah, I get some visits myself. It is usually someone looking at my posts or stats in the forum. I've had a few moderators on the list, but most of them talk to me directly. So I don't sweat it too much myself.

There are various reasons. For example, if I remember a certain post I want to refer back to for whatever reason, but I forget where it was posted (however I remember who posted it), I will go to their profile so I can search their posts and find the exact one I need.
