Is 31 too old to start an actual career? Been wondering this for the last couple days after recently being turned down for 3 promotions at work, I've been in these hourly/minimum wage, labor-intensive kind of jobs all my life...i just want to slow down and find a nice cushy job somewhere.

A lot of people have quit their jobs and just do youtube full time now. Have you considered making videos for a living?

while it sounds easy, many people i've watched on youtube who do that for a living usually have a video about what it's like to do that for a living. and most of them work pretty hard at it. considering how many videos they put out a week, how much editing they have to do, how much planning and stuff...it can't be easy.

i imagine that ,as time goes on, as you get into the rhythm, it becomes easier and feels less like a job and more like doing something you love.

plus, it's never guaranteed that you'll become enough of a success and have enough subscribers to support yourself (and/or your family). and most of the full-time youtubers started their channel while they held full-time jobs working somewhere else. so they had to work even harder before they became a youtube success. also, with the way youtube has been gouging their channel owners and taking an even bigger cut (or giving the channel owners less and less), it can seem counter-intuitive to start a full-time channel at this point. and even if you do start making some money, youtube has a habit of demonetizing videos (even ones that are a couple/few years old) so you don't make any money off of them. and it's usually for some b.s. reason because somebody reported it for no actual, good reason; just to be an a-hole.

Umm, yeah, I wouldn't know how to even begin a venture like that. I just want a regular 9-5 is all ...or atleast be appreciated as a valued employee vs just a number. Is that too much to ask?

No, it's not too late to start an actual career.

No, I wouldn't consider them homeless, per se, but what's the likelihood that they would soon lose that home if the costs aren't being paid on said home because they're living on the streets.

A Robin made its nest in a wreath right outside our door.

Love seeing her every night and morning. She's shockingly ok with humans.

A family member wanted me to get Brazil nuts at the market, so I looked them up to see what they looked like:

Imagine my shock when I scrolled down the page, reading the info about them:

How come Wonder Twins isn't a thing anymore? They should make a Wonder Twins movie.

Our bodies wear out. We’re dying, each and every one of us. We have no choice. Every day, we are closer to death. Even before we are born, our cells are doomed to wear down and die.

i mean seriously....who the eff cares what it's called while it's in production?! as long as it's not some idiotic, moronic, dumb-ass name when it's released, i have no care for what it's called beforehand.

and it's nothing against you, LOTR; i know you only posted the link.

Some people also don't care about slipcovers. But others do care, very.

I agree with you on the title, but a title is important too, for many Star War fans.
Here @ Blu-ray forum we care about everything, not just about 4K/3D Vision picture and Atmos sound and bass reach. Everything matters, everything is awesome and incredible.

Last year at this time I was doing a walk around on one of our Machines to get ready for a vital job. There was two robins hanging around and during the walk around I saw they’d built a nest within The Machine. There was 4 lil blue eggs in the nest. I called my supervisor and the Environment Department people came over. They shut down that project until the eggs hatched, the youngsters grew and the birds flew off. It was around 7 or 8 weeks and we had to improvise because of not being able to use that Machine, haha.

Just a production code name and doesn’t really mean anything. Usually it’s just used to disguise anything to do with the movie. When I was working at a movie theater, all the promotional materials and hard drives for major movies would come with code names. Civil War was Sputnik, Force Awakens was AVCO, Rogue One was Los Alamos, Jungle Book was Water Truce, etc.

Studios think if the poster tubes and hard drive cases just blatantly say ‘Star Wars’ on them, that UPS workers will ‘lose them’, and they probably will. I know I would.
